Great play
Awesome course, super clean and well maintained. it was challenging to find the route as it is extremely big (27 courses)
It's ok
Signs could be better brown spots in fairways but can't be helped due to weather. Soft tee boxes. A good place to practice or play friends, not a course to make an impression on the boss.
Drop the rates
Course has been hammered by the drought. Looks like the only thing that's been watered are the Greens. Everything else is yellow pretty much but the rates are no less. Tried to get the hot Deal past 2 days but everytime you choose it a pop up says no longer available. Get to the course and noone is there. Ask the pro shop if there are any specials and was quickly told NOPE. I Paid the normal rate and was very disappointed at the course conditions. You Need a hammer to place your tee on tee boxes. Fairways are just as hard. The Greens are the only thing that has seen water in a long while. Look I know it's been Hot but drop your rates if you cant afford to maintain tees and fairways.
Nice round on July 4th
Course conditions were not bad, but wish there was better signage throughout the course, especially when transitioning from one nine to the next.
Needs more and better signage
Like many other courses in Houston right now, it is looking a bit bare and scorched in places but it was in pretty decent condition considering. We were behind a 3 who took forever and we were a 4. The most frustrating thing was the lack of signs in a couple of places that caused us tongues where to go.
Great the old Longwood golf course with great greens is back on track
I hadn't played Longwood in 2+ years because the upkeep of the greens had become so below par. The majority of the greens were in horrible shape with major defects like missing grass, weeds and dead spots on the greens. I am glad to say a colleague set up a round recently and to my pleasant surprise the course and especially the greens are back to the wonderful conditions that they once were. The price is a little steeper but so is everyones. Welcome back Longwood!
First timers
This is a fun little course but the cart path is in great need of updated directions to the hole. Found myself lost several times which allowed for the group behind to keep pressing up. Greens are playing slow but all round, a good time.
