Reasonably Priced, Fun and Challenging Round of Golf
Good, challenging layout. Course is reasonably well maintained. The greens were is the best shape of any public course that I have played in the Houston area in the past few months. The course needs more signage to direct golfers to their next hole. Also, the course needs to re-establish providing water to the golfers at various points on the course.
The bar and grill is a comfortable place to enjoy a cold one and a sandwich or snack after your round. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.
Good value
Excellent layout, challenging for all levels of skill.
I played as a single, one foursome let me play thru the second would not so I jumped a hole and then the course was wide open. Don’t understand curmudgeonly old dudes, I’m no youngster either but really???? 2 holes in a row no one even on the green in front of this foursome, plain rude old men.
Great golf, serious navigation issuea
The golf was great, getting from one hole to next an adventure. Need GOP and map, as apparently signs are no longer needed.
Seriously, you need signs, especially from 1 to 2 on Palmetto
Extremely Impressed (but please add better labeling)
Across the board we very impressed with the course. We played Pine and Palmetto. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Many of the holes were very scenic with big trees and and little to no view of houses.
The only complaint was navigating from hole to hole cart path intersections were not labeled properly, and we got lost a a couple of times.
Great overall course, can tell they’re improving conditions.
Overall good course. Would say great, but there were a few spots, outer areas and CLEARLY marked areas on the edges of 2-3 greens. That’s just a part of the transition from winter to summer since we don’t get much of a spring in Houston. For $70ish bucks it was slightly overpriced, but in about 2-3 weeks she’ll be well worth that price. Would definitely play again.
Heat stroke? Water needed
Played Post then Pine. Post needs more water on the course for golfers. Getting hot out there. Pine had water spaced out.
Needs update
All fairways in good condition. Most greens in ok condition--two or three horrible. Tee boxes and bunkers need help. Carts and cart paths need to be replaced--my cart looked like it was in train wreck and glued back together + emergency break didn't work. For the money, not worth playing again.
Father and Son
Our 1st time ever on a course together.
Loved and enjoyed the experience.
Everyone was very helpful
Greens were nice and plush
I like Longwood G.C. and the staff is always professional and helpful.
The course is in good playable conditions.
Fairways are good
I found the greens to be nice green and plush.
There are a few bad spots, where trees have been knocked down, cart paths need repairs.
But I completely understand that the current economic situation is not very helpful.
I will play again.
