Great greens
Course in fine condition-- tees boxes, fairways and especially greens.
Once the slowish foursome ahead of us let us play through, we flew through the course. It would help if there were marshals.
7 out of 10
Had a great time out at longwood. Fairways are pretty narrow and you’re golfing out in the woods, so if you aren’t striking the ball well you could have a pretty rough day in the trees. The greens could use some work, although for fall golf, I thought they were decent. A lot of fairly straight putts. Driving range is on the smaller side. I thought the layout of the course was pretty cool. Signs to the next hole are very minimal so if it’s your 1st time playing here make sure you pay attention. Could very easily end up lost on a different tee box haha. All in all 7 out of 10 course.
Uniquely different
This course has 3 nine holes tracks that are different and plays that way. Uniquely different because they offer a different challenge on every hole. Very forgiving, but put the ball on the short grass, scoring is very capable.
Golf today
Course was great. The carts are old and the front ends are unsable. Also no windshields were installed so no wind barrier driving between holes. The temperature that day was 56 degrees.
Beautiful course!
Be aware of the tricky manoeuvring to find some holes on the course - there are no signs to direct you. A great improvement would be to post a few signs on those holes! We were paired with two gentlemen who were very slow players unfortunately. But we enjoyed our experience.
Great Layout
Enjoyed the layout very much. I played Post Oak and Pine. They have 3 9s. 2 out of the 18 greens needed a little love but overall the course was in great condition.
The aspects of this golf course that really matter, layout, tee boxes, fairways and greens, are very good, but the sand traps need to be better maintained - or folks just need to rake them - and the cart paths need repair. Bridges need replacing. I would add the entire fleet of carts needs replacing, but I understand to expect new ones in December. I play this course frequently, and it's nice to see improvements being made. Once the carts come in, all bridges need attention.
Bad Bad Bad
This corse is in bad shape, the greens are acceptable but fair way and tee boxes are poor. No sand to replace divots
Reviews didn’t give it Justice
I play 3x a week. 5hdcp.
From the tips, this course is challenging.
The conditions of the course were excellent, tree line fairways were nice and the greens were well kept. Couple spots on the course not perfect but for the cost this course was very nice.
If your worried about the carts and cart paths then I can see you not being happy, but if you love to test your game then I definitely recommend it.
Pleasant, calming day on the course
This course cuts through the forest and you hardly notice any houses along the way. Very fair layout, making it pleasant for the average duffer. Friendly golfers on the course that happily waved us through when we caught them
Could be such a great course
Overall the course is in good shape and there are some great holes on all 3 sets of 9 holes. Its just a bit rough around the edges.
One or two tee boxes could do with levelling a reseeding & the cart paths can be treacherous at times!
With an overhaul it would then be comparable to Blackhorse & Meadowbrook Farms because the hole layouts and established tree lines are great.
At $70 on a Saturday morning, it’s a fair price.
