Poipu Bay Golf Course

Although I was supposed to be paired with two other golfers, the starter gave me the option to go alone. This made the round even that much more enjoyable as I was able to soak in the breathtaking scenery. The course played about average and the fairways were somewhat generous. I used rental clubs and was very surprised at how well I adapted to them. Most holes are straightforward with several testing your skills. I managed to shoot an 82 and will forever have fond memories of Poipu Bay.

Teh islands were hit with extreme weather and we got some of it while playing, but not too bad. Course was in great shape and we had fun.

I would recommend playing here. It was enjoyable golf with some spectacular views.

Poipu Bay GC is a wonderful experience! Beautiful views of the coastline. Course conditions were beyond perfect. Greens were running perfect too. Staff were very polite and funny. Course was in great shape, fun to play a little windy when we played but that's what you get right on the water. The main drawback is there is no snack bar/restaurant on the premises so bring your own goodies

Great course. Holes 12-16 are the best consecutive holes I’ve played in my life

Phil Mickelson shot 59 to win the Grand Slam of Golf at Poipu Bay back in the day. My 77 - with an even par back nine - was my version of that incredible round. It came out of nowhere and remains one of my best scores ever.

So, Poipu Bay's easy, right? Hardly.

I was lucky to catch it on a calm day, but there's a fair bit of water near the greens ... on 7, 11, 13 and 18. The greens are big and undulating. A couple of the holes play quite uphill, the par-4 8th and par-5 14th, so those holes are never simple.

Overall, Poipu Bay is as enjoyable and as scenic as any resort course in all of Hawaii. The adjacent Grand Hyatt is also one of my favorite Hawaiian resorts. I can't recommend a stay-and-play enough. You won't regret it.

Hard to not enjoy a round at this course. Well worth the $$. Staff was extremely friendly and the course was in top shape.

Beautiful layout

Café / restaurant was being remodeled so rating is just average. Pro shop staff and cart guys were great. On course food/beverage person was excellent. I look forward to playing here again next time I am in Kauai

This was a great day at Poipu Bay! We had no one in front of us or behind. The course is beautiful - we had a great time. The conditions were great - and it is nice that they include the practice facility, too. The rate is high - and in non-covid times I'm sure it feels like more of an overall experience. The cart-girl did her last round at about 1 which was a bit frustrating. But definitely will be back for another special round.
