Poipu Bay Golf Course has an ideal location between the beautiful coastline and lush emerald mountains. The course sprawls across 210 acres of tropical flowers and vegetation. The site is the former home to an ancient Hawaiian village, whose remnants have been incorporated into the course. Golfers have the rare opportunity to play next to 500-year-old handmade stone walls. Poipu Bay's links-style layout features firm fairways, 85 bunkers, and five water hazards throughout. There are open fronts that allow the ball to roll onto the putting surface. Water hazards come into play on eight holes. The unpredictable winds are the most challenging element of this course. The final two holes provide a memorable finish. The 17th features an ancient rock formation known as Mahualepu and the last hole is a demanding par 5 with a large pond on the left and a lateral hazard on the right.

Great staff and beautiful course

Great course, great staff and a wonderful round of golf with two great guys from Minnesota. The only small complaint was the play of the group in front of us. We went around in 4 hours and 10 minutes. Easily could have been closer to 3’ 45”. But, I’d rake the same round again anytime, except my score. Ha!

Layout is nice and course is in good condition (although greens where very slow).

They have no off course amenities. Just a drink cart. For the price, it should be fuller service.

Rentals were new or in great condition.

Golf in Paradise

Although I was supposed to be paired with two other golfers, the starter gave me the option to go alone. This made the round even that much more enjoyable as I was able to soak in the breathtaking scenery. The course played about average and the fairways were somewhat generous. I used rental clubs and was very surprised at how well I adapted to them. Most holes are straightforward with several testing your skills. I managed to shoot an 82 and will forever have fond memories of Poipu Bay.

Good golf with tough weather

Teh islands were hit with extreme weather and we got some of it while playing, but not too bad. Course was in great shape and we had fun.

Poipu Bay GC is a wonderful experience! Beautiful views of the coastline. Course conditions were beyond perfect. Greens were running perfect too. Staff were very polite and funny. great lay out, beautiful views

Course was in great shape, fun to play a little windy when we played but that's what you get right on the water. The main drawback is there is no snack bar/restaurant on the premises so bring your own goodies
