Good Times
Perfect course for a fun day of golf! Great greens and layout.
Go Vikings!!
Great course with friendly people. Ask for Don!!!
A Must Play Course
Amazing Course. More difficult than it seems. Loved the layout and the setting! Course plays slow on busy days. Staff is amazing and very friendly. Beautiful views and vistas.
Great greens - they play true and are fast!
Golf in a great setting.
This course is more challenging than the Sunriver Meadows course, but fun for all golf abilities with a forest setting. We had our family best ball tournament here last month. It was a lot of fun.
Top 10 Favorite
I've played this course many times and always look forward to playing it again. It's fair but challenging and always in great shape. The views and setting is fantastic.
Combines great scenery with challenging golf
Play Woodlands & Meadows a lot and prefer the former. It is less crowded, and fewer high handicappers play it. Strategy and course management are key. Risk/reward options abound. Greens are fast and undulating. Bunkers could do with more sand.
Great Course
This is my favorite course out of all the courses I have played. The staff is very friendly and the course is well maintained. I would recommend this course to all of my friends and families.
Excellent playing course -- Beautiful!
Course can be very challenging depending on the tees chosen. Beautiful tree-lined fairways, but with plenty of water and bunkers. One of the best in the Northwest!
great views fine condition super friendlyBest
best course I have eve.played
Great course.
Woodlands can be challenging with many hazards, thick rough and narrow fairways.
Favorite for ladies!
I play in the ladies league here and for most of the ladies as well as my husband, this is their favorite course. When friends come to visit, they always request to play here.
One of Three Great Courses in Sunriver
A must play if you are staying in Sunriver
Demanding but worth it!
Beautiful course in immaculate condition. Reasonable cost that includes a cart. Beautiful views from tree lined fairways. Many other beautiful courses nearby.
Woodlands - Sunriver
Beautiful course in excellent condition.
Woodlands can eat your lunch
I play here a lot, and it challenges me every time. The greens are the biggest issue: Your approach shots have to be pretty precise to hold these greens or else you'll find yourself chipping from the rough behind. A bit tougher than Meadows, but not as hard as Crosswater. The traps could use more sand, as they are pretty thin, although they provide a huge contrast with the river sand bunkers at Meadows.
Very pretty but can wear you out.
We have been playing this course for years. It seems like it wasn't in as good shape as prior years. The fairways were a little thin and rock hard. Plus the course layout requires accuracy on all shots, and that can wear you out by the end of the day. Lots of very fun hole, though, and very pretty.
Corse in great shape
Mantainence very good, staff always friendly and helpful. Enjoy the challenge of some holes.
Woodlands has been my Favorite Course in Oregon for years!
The Woodlands offers spectacular scenery in a layout that wanders thru the woods and provides great views. The course is in fabulous shape and the greens are awesome! Hole 15 is one of my favorite holes in all of golf! I love this course and will continue to play here for many years to come!
Tough course
Love this lay out. 2 very different 9s . Visually appealing. Can be very tough driving . But there's no real rough. Keep it in play and greens will receptive. Speed of play is much better than its sister course.. The Measows
solid track. fun and challenging.
played this course as the morning round of a 36 hole day. the biggest thing that hurt my impression of this course was the anticipation of playing crosswater in the afternoon. i know that's not really fair, but it was unavoidable.
however, this course is still a great course! taken on its own it has everything you'd want. cool holes and a variety of challenges. water hazards are used wisely to present challenges and not just there for decoration. and one of my favorite features of any course is forcing some variety off the tee. you definitely don't just have to hit driver off every tee here, and the par 3s also have some good variation to keep them interesting.
conditions were very good, but not pristine (crosswater was in noticeably better condition). certainly better than any course i see at home in the Texas summer!
overall, this course is a great choice, especially if you don't want to spend the extra money on crosswater.
