Nice City Course
Fairway and greens were in good shape for this late in season. There were many leaves on the course but there were people out there blowing them away. Really a good value for the money.
Great Condition
Other than the greens having been aerated and top dressed, the course was in fantastic shape!
Just the right amount of challenge & value...
This is my "Home" course, so granted I'm a little biased, but best suited for the golfer trying to get in 18 without all the "bells and whistles". It's a short course, but it really maximizes its distance with hazard placement and sneaky long holes. A good choice every time.
Hidden Gem of a Public Course
Great course conditions, overall very impressed with condition...only a few holes could use some love around the greens and all fairways and tee boxes were well kept up.
The pace was very slow on this day, as it seemed many foursomes out on the course.
Overall its a good course close to my house, play it a handful of times a year when I want to just get out and play a round.
Quick 18
18 holes done on a weekday afternoon in record time. Courteous players allow faster ones to play through. Fairways and rough in excellent condition, but lots of unrepaired greens-enough to influence score.
Super nice for a muni!!!
Awesome course for the money. It is very short, so if you are an advanced golfer I recommend playing from the tips.
My wife and I played, and she is a beginner, and she found the course accessible and not too intimidating.
The course offers some challenging holes along with some bunnies which makes for fun golf when you have a chance at a birdie or two. The greens were nice and the landscaping excellent.
Overall, this is a great place to play
Nice course for the money
I really enjoyed this course. Starter was very helpful explaining some tips and tricks. Well kept bunkers and greens. Just an overall nice place to spend an afternoon.
Great course for the money
Being a novice golfer I always search for the best deals when playing 18. Sometimes however this leads to a below average course. Not at Philips Park. The course was very well kept and the pace of play was quick but still relaxing. I would and will definitely come back.
Great course
The course was in good shape and the staff was very friendly
Another Awesome Round At Phillips Park
Played another 18 at Phillips Park yesterday. I don't write many reviews, but feel compelled to say thank you to the staff at Phillips Park. I just started playing golf more seriously, and have spent a bit of time over at the course this Summer. Every round has been fun, the course is in GREAT shape, and the staff there at Phillips is one of the friendliest i've ever dealt with. The snack shop is awesome, and the ladies make a phenomenal homemade tuna salad sandwich almost daily. Highly recommend playing this course and sharing in the experience...
A pleasure to play
Phillips Park is always in great shape.
The course is fun to play, challenging but not overly so.
this course rocks
Friendly staff course in great condition good food would definitely recommend it to others
Nice Course
Very nice course in very good condition. A nice value
Good place
Usually played this course before for practice rounding many years ago. Played this year and I realized this course is managed very well. Good green conditions and good speed.
I will play next time again if price is right.
Compare to green fee of years ago has been raised a lot.
Hidden gem
Suprised at how well kept this course is. Maybe I'm just biased towards the Aurora area, but this course changed my mind. Kudos, Phillips team, I will be back!
Not a lot of water!!
If u don't like water this is ur course. In only 4 holes u have to go over water n on 3 of them u have to hit a terrible shot to land on the water. By the way I did that! Overall good course!!
This is a course where you will use all of your clubs in your bag
Great course with driving range. You can practice chipping, sand shots and the course has two grat putting greens.
Great course close to home
A hidden gem! First time playing this course even though its only 2 miles away from my house. Beautiful course, very well kept grounds. Definitely worth the money!
Phillips Park
The course was in good condition. We teed off 30 minutes after our scheduled 12:05 tee time. There were a lot of weekend warriors on the course=slow play. The front nine which is a classic Links lay out took us about 2 hours and thirty minutes. The back nine which is very different with lots of hills. Play was slower on the back and we finished in 5 hours and 15 minutes. The Ranger did his best but with a record number of golfers per the Starter, the round took longer than we expected. We still enjoyed the course. Plan to play Phillips Park again probably on a week day.
