Tierra Grande Country Club
About
Located in Casa Grande, Tierra Grande Country Club sits halfway between Phoenix and Arizona. Jack Snyder designed the nine-hole golf course in 1976. The course has a traditional design, which is evident in the wide fairways and large greens. It's not a tough course, but it provides a fun and quick round for any skill level. More advanced players will appreciate getting some short game practice, but it's also gentle enough for beginners and juniors to approach with confidence. There are a few strategically placed bunkers to contend with, but water won't be a major issue. Tierra Grande is open to the public and offers one of the area's best golf values. The golf course is ideal if you're looking for a quick round or if you're just learning the game.

Local, Short Hitter's Course
Difficult to recommend for average to better golfers. Too many short par 4's - four on the back nine at 250 yards or less. Two par 5's at 450 yards. Flat, no views, most holes not very interesting, small/firm/shaggy/slow greens. Most fairways hard pan and many brown/thin spots. It was wide open in the afternoon, so fast play. Price is low, but it is off the beaten path. Don't expect a great golf experience.
.
If you want to get your kids into golf, this is a nice wide open course. The greens were in good shape, no bunkers, and one water hazard. Course length was under 4500. Also, there is no service on the course so make sure you bring necessary items for play.
Pay for what you get
This course is mainly a practice course. The Back nine is nothing but par 4's and 3's which is good if you start on the 10th. Front nine has 2 par 5's and rest is 3's and 4's. couple curved fairways but nothing to major. NO DRIVING RANGE. Just 2 greens that you can putt on which are small. The staff is good. They don't serve main lunches after a certain time, you can only buy snacks and drinks. All in all its a great course for a beginner like myself and someone who wants to practice a bit and tweak your swings. It's cheap and wouldn't pay more than $20 for a round.
A TON OF FUN
Well lets see after finding that it only took an hour to get there from Green Valley AZ, it was a good start to the morning
This course is allot of fun. the greens are in excellent shape. we went out as a twosome and finished just under 3 hours. Well worth the price. Would recommend this course to everyone
Thanks to the two great lady's that took care of the clubhouse
Good value for the money.
Back nine much better layout/shape than the front nine. Front nine....way to much distance from green to next tbox.
female friendly course. ok for the money, went with a female friend
for what it is, it is all right however fairway grass is kept way too short and there is a lot of clover in the fairway. no fringe around greens. course is tight and in that way challenging. biggest fault i experienced was incorrect hole distances. if you play it plan on flag being 10-20 yards shorter than what signs and card says especially on par 3's!!! take a range finder and ignore distance marker. course probably 300 yards shorter in actuality than advertised. very dusty.
Great potential
This is executive course length. Great course to work on short game and putting. A few tough par 3's Only draw back would be a large number of snowbirds who live nearby and play in tournaments regularly. They will be gone soon and you could play course easily in a couple of hours.Low fees. Friendly people. Will definitely use it to work on game this summer.
Great burger and cheap beer.
Course is unique and enjoyable.
The value for playing was quite adequate, and enjoyable atmosphere is demonstrated.
Excellent value for the money
Were on the tee at time we had reserved. No waiting. Course in good shape. Love the new layout.
Fun desert course
Fairways were green and the greens were in good shape. this is a short course par 68, If your not on the fairway your in the desert.
nice little country course
booked it as a hot deal $11.00 plus booking fees. 13 bucks for 18 holes with a cart, I would take that deal anytime. We had a short frost delay but still finished in under 3 hrs. course is not
immaculate but definitely playable. routing is a bit odd and not marked very well, (front nine) but if you play with a regular you will get around it o.k, I'm not sure about walking this course although I did see a young fellow pushing a cart so it can be done
Not worth the drive or money.
My husband and I played this course last Friday. This course is not one I would recommend. It is far out of Casa Grande and not worth the drive. I can see why it is only $25.00. Would not pay more and will not go back. The only good thing is we got on right away and zipped around the course in no time.
Good for a shorter course
A lot could be done to tidy up the course. It is a good course for golfers who don't want the long holes. Would have been nice to have a coffee and Baileys, but they don't have anything except beer.
Long Drive for ?
Drove an hour .Thot course may be scenic out south of Chanler off I-10 .Was a bit dissapointed. If I lived in area , would be ok but for the conditions and scenery I wouid never go back
