Good shape
The course was in very good shape with the greens smooth and true.
My 3rd hole in 1 today
Course is in great shape and the greens are a good pace. I hit my 3rd hole in one on #16 from the white tees at around 150 yards. Fortunately, there weren't a bunch of players in the var :)
Great day
Overall good experience from the check in, starter and pace of play. Great event and would recommend Robson Ranch to all friends and anyone ask for a local quality golf course.
Fast play on back 9
The greens seemed a bit slower than last week. After the front 9 the group ahead of us dropped so we were able to play the back 9 as fast as we wanted.
Grainy and needs growth
There is no winter overseed on this course and the Bermuda grass has not yet grown in enough to mow and groom down to best conditions. Quite a bit of maintenance is in progress so as the weather warms it should come around. Front pins were impossible to get to as approaches were Velcro. Some fairway verticutting out there so we played lift clean and place when necessary. Run up wedges or off fairway putts were very bumpy. The pins were in tough positions given the green speeds and grain. The layout is good with ample tee ball space and the Par 3’s are a solid challenge. I like the course and will come back a little later this spring. Great clubhouse, staff and service excellence and the members were nice folks.
Just Challenging Enough
This is a typical desert course, flat and fast. Traps are very playable and the greens nicely kept.
Despite the courses relative flatness the greens are pretty tricky for the average golfer. A cart person would have been nice. Other than that it’s well worth the drive from my home in Tucson.
Nice fast greens
Good conditions greens are firm and fast! Bunkers could use additional sand.
Nice Round
The Robson Ranch community is very nice. The club house is very nice and the restaurant and bar are excellent. The golf course was in great shape for this time of year. I was able to get a red hot deal from GN which made the game more affordable. The regular green fees are a bit steep in my opinion.
The course is in excellent condition
I loved the condition of the greens and tees, fairways also. I had hoped the pace of play would allow me to finish my round, but it was too dark to see after 16 holes. I don’t think full round tee times should be offered after 2:45-3 until later in the year.
