Fun course
Quail wood is a good place to golf if you don't want to spend a lot of money. You get what you pay for here. Overall the course is decent but greens are terrible and lots of leaves everywhere so hard to find your ball.
Fun short coarse
greens rough in places but great fun for the money.
Relaxing afternoon on frriendly course
Over the years, we've played this course many times. The course has enough variety and diversity to be challenging, but not intimidating for average golfers. If you are looking for a championship course which requires above average skills, go elsewhere. If you want a fun round of golf where you don't have to go on search and rescue missions to find a bad shot, try Quailwood.
Ive played worse
So i didnt expect much from this course to begin with. When you have stoneridge and Prescott country club up the street its hard to compare. There were some greens that had some brown areas in them. The layout is ok and not really hard. The thing that made this course "hard" was the rough. The rough in some parts were thick and long. Outside of that its just a below average maintained course. Honestly i wouldn't pay more than 15 bucks to play in the summer. It was good place fora hungover round that i didnt care about, i had fun though. Some of the holes bring a little challenge. If you an afford it, play stoneridge antelope and prescott cc. I only utilized this course to get a second round in over the weekend while we were in town for the holiday.
Quailwood
Wonderful day. Play was good
good value
We enjoyed our round, and it was nice to get away from the phoenix heat.
Fair Greens
Course was beautiful except for the tee boxes and greens. The tee boxes were pretty much scalped and dry. The greens were punched all around the edges into about 3ft. Many greens had tiny green rocks covering the greens which made it difficult to putt. WE drove 2 hours to play the course. It would be nice to notify their guests accordingly.
Quailwood golf course
Enjoy playing this course. It's easy enough for beginners but fun enough for advanced.
Good recreation course. Relaxing course.
Nice cool overcast day. Only problem we had was a 5 person group was in front of us. A lot of waiting but it was still fun.
Fun Value Course/Didn't honor Online Rate
I've played this course a few times this year and have enjoyed the course itself every time. The course favors/relieves those of us that push the ball to the right. The front 9 is fun with greens that test your skill. The back 9 kicks it up a bit with lots of challenging greens working different incline levels.
Staff and service was my big issue with this course. I've had issues every single time I've come including being charged double for practice balls and most recently not having my online reservation honored. The staff member said that the rate had to be paid in full online in order to receive that rate but my confirmation info said I was to pay in person. They didn't want to honor my Golfnow online rate and had to pay double when I arrived even though I showed him my confirmation info. Not sure when I'll return here if that's the case because the course is really only a value with the online rate.
needs some work
several greens need patching good place to warm up in the spring before hitting a tougher course
Friendly course
Staff was great, carts in good shape but the course was pretty rough lots of dirt patches greens were really rough. But it's February. Range was hard with little grass. Price was cheap and so there was still value the weather was great. Other golfers were great.
Wow, what can I say.
Played once about 8 years ago and thought we would give them another try.First contact was very abrupt when telling us we MUST play at the given GolfNow time slot. We knew that but were told in such a manner that we felt like we were definitely not welcome. That is the last time we will ever play there, no matter how low their rates are.
When done, didn't even stop for a beverage!!
greens need work
Quailwood is a par 68 short 18 hole golf course. It is located in Dewey, AZ within the subdivision of the Villages of Lynx Creek. They have three sets of tees and from the tips measures just under 5300 yards. The course is in pretty good shape but the greens need some work. In places there is no grass and many golfers do not fix their ball marks on the greens. There are a few challenging holes especially #12 where your tee shot must clear a large ravine and doglegs to the left. Overall it is a good course to tune up your game.
Mature short course
Reminded me of some of the dry courses Downunder with small greens. Fairways were dry but decent and green were a little rough. This course is a lot of fun for the price and definitely an opportunity to work on your shorter irons.
GREAT LITTLE HIDDEN COURSE
HAVENT BEEN UP HERE IN A WHILE-SEVERAL HOLES WERE CHANGED UP A BIT. OVERALL, NICE RELAXING DAY IN THE COOLER CLIMATE. DONT FORGET THE SUNBLOCK.
Great value
This is a very reasonably priced course. There are beautiful views and it is a fun quick round.
Getting ready for winter
Greens were average due to aeration and sand. Tee boxes could use some work. Check in staff started out a little cranky but came around. I still like this course alot l will be back. Good value for the money
Needs some work,,,,,,but!
When you play this course you have to remember that you're not paying a lot for it (especially when booked through GolfNow. The greens on this day were terrible. We never did see a ball washer, maybe one. It's a chance to swing the club and work on some of your short stuff. It is what it is.
Needs work
Played there a few months ago and the course was in nice shape. This time the greens were pretty bad and need to be worked on. Some of the tee boxes as well. Not sure what happened in a couple of months for the changes in the course. For the price it can't be beat. I'll give it a try is another few months.
