Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Incredibly slow.
Had to stop after 9. Took 3 hours on the front, couldn't imagine playing a 6 hour round of golf! Saw a ranger but didn't seem to do anything with the slow pace. It's unfortunate because it's a nice course for the value.
Better than expected
I thought this course was a nice change of pace from typical southern Az courses. Nice open fairways with large trees that provide nice shade.
Greens and bunkers well groomed.
Soooo slow!
Granted, we were a twosome and when we saw 2 foursomes and a threesome ahead of us, we knew it would be fairly slow play.
Well. We timed our pace of play after waiting on EVERY shot. We "achieved" 6 holes in 2 hours...approximately 20-25 minutes per hole, including the par 3.
There was no ranger or course management out on the course to ensure a nine hole round would not take 3+ hours to play.
We drove off after 6 holes and did not complete the round.
We won't be back.
Very nice course at a good value
The course is in nice shape from tee box to green. Fairly wide open fairways. Friendly staff, quick pace of play, nice weather and very reasonable cost made for a great day of golf.
The course was in good shape. a bit over watered though.
Great Course
This has been the nicest course I have played since moving to Tucson. The layout is great and very fair. Course conditions were good (sand as in all courses here need some work).
Very Relaxing
No stress. Straightforward layout. A big difference between front and back nines. A pleasant change. Good pace of play. Enjoyable day with good people.
HAVEN: VERY NICE COURSE!
Course has a variety of holes, except no hills.....
course , fairways traps and greens, are in excellent condition.
And tree-lined fairways provided welcome shade.
The 'after golf ' refreshment
lounge is excellent. All positive feelings when playing there.
Probably the MOST PLAYED course in Green valley. Not the most challenging, but seems to always be in good shape.
Good warm up before desert courses.
