Haven at Haven Public Golf Club

This is a plain flat course with lots of trees. If that’s what you’re looking for then this is your coirse. Fairways, tees and greens were in good condition. There were left and right doglegs and trees and more trees. I like trees, so it was nice. However, if you’re looking for a desert target course, this isn’t it

Course is flat and distances from green to tee are fairly short. Would be a great course to walk.

Off the fairways the rough was, well rough. Some grass, some weeds and some dirt/mid.

I got out early by myself and finished in 1hr 45 min so my personal pace of play was great. Got back to hotel in time to take my wife to breakfast

So, if you’re just looking for a place to play that isn’t memorable but is totally adequate, this is a good place.

Course was in generally good condition. Pace of play was good. We played through a 5 -some. Greens were better than some of the other courses we played.

Following a wet winter, the course was devoid of grass immediately off the fairways and adjacent to many greens. For physically handicapped golfers, the pro shop staff and ownership do not provide for or allow “blue flags” nor allow carts within 25 yards of the greens even though many areas are grass free i. e bare dirt. Course condition has really fallen off over the past several years. Maybe we ownership; I do not know.

Pace of play was horrible, just like the other two times I played here. Bartender was a bit chippy as usual.

Staff were indifferent to any questions.

"One word" answers to any question and rude to an inquiry regarding anyone working in the Snack bar.

"I don't know, it's not my day to watch them"

Not that it was a problem for our three-sum, but we were paired with a blind golfer without being made aware. It just would have been nice to know so it wasn't such a surprise.

We stopped playing Haven about a year ago because it was in such horrible condition but someone told us that it had improved tremendously. So we thought we would give it a try again and found that the course is in better shape than in the past but it is managed very poorly. We've played twice in the last week and both times our tee times were bumped to later times without our knowledge. It appeared, each day, that they had worked in a group before us pushing our times out. How inconsiderate to those who make their tee times well ahead of time. On top of that, you're looking at 5 to 5-1/2 hour round because of their actions and just too many people on the course. For sure we will not be playing Haven again and putting up with the poor management. It isn't worth the money and there are many other courses in the area that are in much better shape.

Course: the fairways and greens where close to excellent. Some (few) spots close to the green without grass. The rough is pretty ROUGH because most of the rough area is just soil or very hard dead grass. Fairways are narrow and challenging.

Off Course amenities: below average bar and food. Just one beverages cart for 18 holes.

Service: average to good.

Players: not so friendly lol

2nd round here. Great pairing for the second time golfing here. Lots of fun, course was beautiful and pace was spot on.

Enjoyed a nice day with friendly staff and a lovely course.

They keep this golf course. In really good condition, it’s a great course for beginners and moderate golfers.

No one on the course to speed up play. Waited on the tee box all day.
