About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Public course
Ok course… the nice greens and fairways are ok the rest of course needs work bunkers still had standing water in them.

Worth the drive
Drove an hour to play Haven and worth the effort. Like the track, friendly staff, and fairways/greens were in very good shape. Will play here again.

OK course for the money.
Didn't know what to expect as the price was somewhat low for the area. Upon seeing the course, it became clear that there was a reason why. While the fairways and greens were in decent shape, the rough was what I would call scruffy. Mostly dirt and scrub brush but still difficult to locate balls that were offline. We were paired with another couple who walked while we took a cart. The course was pretty flat, and we could have easily walked too.

Haven is Great!
Here in Green Valley, golf is laid back and not overly expensive. Haven is a great course for a good price. The fairways and greens are well kept. Bunkers? Eh, not so much (but that's pretty typical for GV). I play the White tees and this course has just the right amount of challenge for me. Enjoy!!

Hit it in the rough
The rough was NOT. it was ALL hardpan throughout the course. Hit it in the rough to gain 30-40 yds. off the T. Only issue in that is to avoid the penalty of being behind a tree. Oh, and IF you hate to hit off hardpan, forget this advice because it's super hard. Greens needed to be cut. They were very fuzzy and if you were not putting downhill they were very slow and shaggy.

Good course; good value
Haven provides two good courses (one is a short resort course) at good value with a great range and putting facilities. . Plays well, reasonable open (not a desert course), good condition with raised greens. Restaurant and amenity's could be improved.

Beautiful conditions but…
Beautiful to conditions, but you really need a course marshal on busy days (we played Saturday). We had to wait for quite a while on every hole. We will come back, but we’re going to try playing mid week instead.
