About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Wide open course but still proved a challenge. Lots of hidden bunkers and while the greens weren’t particularly fast, they proved a challenge to read.

played v ery well. Iwill be 90 next month and can still break 80 like it here pro shop people treet us very well

The course was in great shape. It played very well with nice grass on fairways. Sand traps were in good condition and pin placement was very good, especially on #7 where I had a hole in one.

After paying for 9 holes the pro shop told us to go off the back nine. What he failed to tell us was there were 5 groups ahead of us on the 10th tee. We went back to the pro shop and asked for a rain check and we’re denied. My playing partner and I ended leaving without playing a single hole. Not very happy with the guys in the pro shop. I like this course and it’s right down the street from where I live, but if this happens again I will never play Havens again.

Very flat with narrow fairways. Once off the fairway, you were often hitting off dirt or sand.

Well run course
We played on a Saturday that was the first decent weather in a week. Tee'd off two minutes early and finished 18 in 4.5 hours. The course was busy, but the starter was on top of his game. Staff all pleasant.

slow round
The course in in good condition other the harde bunkers but the pace of play is an isse. We played in ust under 5 hours and the course was packed.

Great place for golfers who are not long hitters
Course was in very good condition even though weather has been unusually cold this winter. Accuracy is king as there are plenty of challenges if you are not in the fairway.

Older design but interesting layout. It would be an easy walking course. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
