About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Could move tee markers occasionally. Takes a long time to do. Attention to detail.

Disappointed.
Disappointed with price. I made tee times for 2 walking at $45 each and 2 riding at $53 each. But we were all charged the $53 price each. At the course they told us that was the information sent to them from booking agents. Plus, I had already paid over $12 on my card to book the tee times.

Excellent Pace of Play (surprises)
Not fancy golf, but price tends to be right.
Good grass conditions. Greens smooth, relatively fast (grain comes into play). Firm, they want them to stay smooth and not be torn up by unfixed ball marks. Bunkers inconsistent, some lack sand, better than nearby counterparts (Torres).
The beauty of the day was speed of play. Forth up on number one, it looked like a long grim ordeal. Once teed up, moved and worked to keep up. Rarely waited, group behind us, staying in touch, didn’t hit into us, entire course synchronized. Not a normal occurrence in winter Arizona golf? Clubhouse bar is strictly a “waterhole”. No food to speak of. We enjoyed the day, and believe the course is worth a play.

Fun course
The course is always in good condition and fun to play. A couple holes never fail to pull my ball to the trees.

nice course for money
c always had a nice layout and is reasonably priced. Not far from I19 and good course to play before perhaps playing more difficult venues
