About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Long wide and fun. Some bunkers need attention. But a good experience

Course playing very well
The course played very well and is in great shape despite the cold rainy conditions.

overcharged
Checked in to pay and was charged taxes ; When I told him golf now rate included taxes he said no they don't. Also had paid for a 3 some with my wife and granddaughter. Then told I must ride with an unknown person or pay an extra $20 to ride by myself. Check in person was very adamant that I was trying to "nickel and dime him". Very unprofessional and unfriendly. Saw several golfers riding solo while playing, My golf now booking included cart...

Slow round of golf
There was a lot of bare ground. Two greens were severely damaged with ruts in them. I like Haven GC but it needs to be improved.

Haven works
Great value very busy with locals. Play can get backed up , but speeds up after a couple of holes. Recommend it for anyone not in a big hurry Green fees half of competition Fun course playable. For all levels. Great staff

We were teamed up with some nice folks from Maryland. Great day of golf. Course is in good shape.

Very poor rental for clubs
My guests rented clubs that were sub standard. They didn’t expect great clubs but for $35 each per round you might expect them to be playable. The grips were hard and slick and the insert on the putter was loose. They did replace the putter but a competent pro shop should replace grips regularly.

Course
Too much water in traps sometimes muddy sometimes inches of water greens fine but tough fairways fine too much hard pan in rough but I like the course
