About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Course
Too much water in traps sometimes muddy sometimes inches of water greens fine but tough fairways fine too much hard pan in rough but I like the course
Great Shape
Course is in Great Shape and playing well. This still is "the best Bang for the Buck"! Returning for play soon.

Pope customer service
We called to check on frost delay,told at least 1 hr..Showed up 30 min before and told we’d been scratch as no show. Then had wait an hour more to tee off behind two 5 soles as a 2 some. Very poor service

Pace of play
A group of four ahead and we all went out a shot back by the third hole the group in front of them was a hole ahead and it just got worse from there. The Marshall drove by no less then three times and never said anything to them and I guess they thought they were good Why are you paying paying a Marshall if the sob is just going to ride around not doing anything. 5:25round at haven is stupid. 5+ hour round I’m looking to play else where other that that I would recommend.

Haven is Back!!
I played here 2 months ago and the course was super dry and firm and all the lakes were dried out. Probably the worst I've seen it in many years. Talking to the gentleman in the Pro Shop he informed me that their Well had went out and it had been 4 weeks with no water. I decided to play again as I figured the Water issue should be resolved and I was blown away by how different it looked and played. Fairways were lush and greens receptive and rolling true. I'm so glad it bounced back so quickly and is back to being in really nice shape.

Such a shame
I have been playing Haven since 2008 I have seen all the ups and downs and unfortunately it is now in a big down. It is such a nice course when maintained long old style lay out and fast greens when looked after. I hope a new owner comes along soon be a shame to see you go thru a long slow demise. RP
