About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Mostly good
It’s a nice course and was in decent condition. The pro shop staff were polite and friendly. Our only complaints are that we stopped at the turn to grab a coffee and the woman took twenty minutes to serve us. And on the course the guy mowing the fairways didn’t pull aside and let us through. We had to wait until he finished. We came upon him three times.
Pace of play was great. Even with those delays we finished 18 in under 3 1/2 hours.
Haven is Heaven
The course is in great shape. The greens were smooth and fast. The staff is friendly! The price is great, especially when you compare it to the winter rates in Tucson due to our northern winter visitors. We welcome the visitors with their clubs. I recommend it all the time now when I hit range balls at the golf course I live on in Oro Valley.
Right difficulty
Enjoyed course. Good carts, degree of difficulty about right for our abilities, friendly staff. Thanks for a nice day at golf.
Fairways
The fairways were extremely horrible today, they were very high and didn’t look like they have been mowed for over a week the greens, however, look to be in really good shape
Haven gc
Pretty straight forward golf course. Sand traps could use some love. maybe 1/2" of sand before hitting hard pan dirt. I've met some very nice people play this course.
Some of the greens had poor turf. No ranger monitoring slow play. Red tee area on number 6 hole is extremely small. Sand traps are like cement. Staff were excellent. Don’t like the Golf now fee on reservations. I play other courses in the area and don’t encounter a reservation fee.
Excellent Staff Very Good Course
It has been 8 years since I played Haven, it was well worth the cost for the round and I look forward to the next round at Haven.
