About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Good value
The pace of play could be better. there should never be 3 foursomes on tee box of par 4. Two things. Only 7 minutes between tee times and golfers taking more than 3 minutes looking for balls
This is a forgiving golf course and should never take more than 4 hours to play even walking
Greens were a little bumpy and sand bunkers had very little sand. Great for fairway bunkers not so much for greenside
Good value for money. would be great value if marshals would really marshal and tee times were 8 or 9 minutes apart
Slow play
I know it was busy, but their was a group a couple of holes ahead of us and the Marshall told us to keep moving. We were constantly waiting on the group of head of us. And he never went up and said anything to the slow group.
Used to be a Great Place to Play
Mystery solved as to why the place is no longer crowded... If you like players with ZERO etiquette and want to listen to their music 5 holes away...this is your place. We are all about growing the game and you should, but there needs to be some control of your own golf course. We are trying to golf, not going to a night club. Greg and Rene, please do better.
4 Amateurs First Time Playing 18
We get together to play 4 times a year. Haven is always considered due to its forgiving open course with just enough hazards to up our game each time. This was the first time the 4 of us played 18 together and we left amazed we competed for the full 18 here. We’ll be back!
