Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

must play!

We drove up from Phx and played on a windy wet day but had a blast playing this course. Great layout but what else would you exspect from a Robert Trent design. The greens were awesome took a couple of three putts to get use to how fast they were for bent grass. Since most the greens in Phx are Bermuda. Pine lined fairways with lots of doglegs going both ways. Food was great and so was the staff ,the bartender Joy makes a awesome bloody Mary! We were lucky enough to be paired with a local golfer who knew tis course quite well pbobably saved me at least 4 shots a side.

Great Track!

Course was excellent! True greens rolling around 11. Landscaping around the course was top notch. Fun layout with tall pine trees lining the fairways. Some tee shots look tight but are fairly forgiving. Staff was very friendly! I will definitely play this course again 🍻

1st time won’t be the last time.

Over the past couple months my wife and I have played 22 courses in multiple states. This has been our outright favorite. The staff was awesome and very accommodating. The fairways were emerald and the greens were glass. With 5 tee boxes it sets up for all skill levels. From the teal markers my wife had multiple birdie opportunities she can’t find at other courses. Which in turn makes it a lot more fun for everyone. If you want a challenge play the tips at 6900 yds. Plenty of dog legs and placement shots. A true golf course that can reward and punish you.

Don’t Do It!

The front nine is an old style layout (up and back) where you can just about see every hole from any hole. The back nine is very different (better). You actually have some scenic views instead of the 70 yr old houses on the front nine.$150 for that, I don’t think so! It took 4 hrs and 40 min to play a round of golf!

Hit, wait,hit, wait.

There is NO WAY I would recommend this course much less ever play it again!

Beautiful Course

This course is absolutely beautiful. Great views of the Sedona red rocks all along the course. Fairways and Rough were in great shape and the greens were pristine. The greens had just been cut and rolled, so they were very fast but were still receptive to a proper approach shot. Highly recommend Oak Creek.

Great track in great condition…

Started our day on the property with breakfast at Oakcreek Bistro. Sandy, our server, was excellent! The food that followed was also excellent. We took advantage of the chipping and putting green by the clubhouse before heading over to the grass teed range and 1st tee. All practice facilities were in great shape. We found the course to be the same. Greens were rolling fast and true. Fairways, aprons and rough were perfectly watered and cut as well. This was our first time at Oakcreek and we are hoping we can get a tee time to go back soon.

Anniversary round

My wife and I played Friday and teed off around noon. The course was amazing it the staff very sub-par. Started with a kid working in the pro shop with poor service. Normally it’s the older pro shop managers mad at the world displaying poor attitude but they’re grooming them younger these days it seems?

Secondly, the bar/restaurant was closed by the time we made the turn and there was NO beverage cart on the back. No water jugs or fountains that I noticed either.

Couple of employees mentioned it’s mostly members that play here and do as they please.

The views with golf are enough for anyone to have an amazing day here! It’s unfortunate the service doesn’t match the course conditions and views. The GREENSCREW are the superstars here. Bring your own food and drinks and you can avoid our situation.

Beautiful & Affordable Course in Sedona

This course is right outside Sedona proper and very beautiful and manageable for an average golfer. I don’t play well enough to pay $300+ for a round like some of the fancy courses in Sedona, so this was perfect for me. The course wasn’t crowded at all and we played with a nice gentleman who was a member and gave us guidance on each of the holes. Beautifully maintained course with amazing views of Bell Rock and Castle Rock.
