Wickenburg CC
This course was way too hard for us. We are all 23-24 H.C. but will not come again as was too hard for us. It was beautiful though.
Best condition ever
I have played here over five years. Just three or four times a year and it is in the best condition I have seen it. Good job staff.
Great Course, Better Staff
Due to a brain cramp on my part we showed up 24 hours early for our tee time. The pro at the desk did everything he could to accommodate my mistake, got us out in a timely manner and honoured our Golf Now HotDeal for the next day. The course was challenging for four rusty Canadians. The greens were great. Enjoyed the local rule about two club lengths of relief from a coiled rattlesnake. Like I would honestly measure that.
Narrow but fun
Bring several balls because you are going to loose some. Play corridors are narrow.
Greens and fairways are in great condition.
Staff is friendly, beer is fairly priced, views are lovely.
Pace of play was 3 hours.
Everything about this course is very good except the width.
Great golf course for iron play as there is only a few holes for driver
Golf course conditions were very good, staff are great.
Excellent golf course requiring accuracy off the tee, but driver is not necessary.
Hit it straight
Course is not long, but demands hitting your target.
Tight
Fairways and greens were in very good condition. Course layout was very tight. If you can hit it straight, you could go really low. Some really short par 4's. All staff were very nice. Good value for the money.
This staff and course seem to attract fun lovers and serious golfers. It is always welcoming of both, never had a bad day here.
challenging for any player but easy play for a novice too
Unconventional course design makes it a lesson in course management but is not too challenging for any level of skill.
First time at Wickenburg Country Club
The course was in great shape, but you really have to stay in the fairways. Off fairway presents a lot of problems. Views from most of the holes are spectacular, if not breathtaking. Greens were in excellent shape, but almost all of them are rolling and multi-tiered, which presents its own set of issues. Many of the greens are elevated. The course is par 71, with a couple of par threes at 229 and 235 yards from the back tees. Overall, a great value for the money, but I would skip the food in the restaurant, and find a different locale to eat.
Great variety course
Upon first look, it feels like an old school club course ( which it is) and while distances may not seem challenging- the layout and approach areas can be quite challenging. The women's t boxes are advanced enough to make it playable for gals, but there are many blind shot and narrow fairway shots from the guys t's to make it pretty tough for them.
Great day
Golfed Wickenburg c.c. and conditions were great. One of first groups to go off and we're a twosome so played through and finished in 3 1/2 hours. Excellent layout .
Good Link course
Good link type course and for-giving.
For beginners and intermediate, it is an interesting challange
rough path, challenging course
I enjoyed the challenge. It took a lot of guessing to keep the ball in the fairway. Tees, fairways and greens were well maintained.
Interesting/Rustic
This was an interesting course. I went in expecting it to be a little more upscale than hand painted direction and hole marking signs that I found. That having been said, the course was not in bad shape, although you might want to take extra balls with you. If you are wild off the tee or long fairway shots, there are a lot of 'scrub' areas that will claim your balls.
Given that it was a "Hot Deal" and the price was right, it was well worth the money paid
Well Worth the Drive
A true gem for AZ. Our experience here was top shelf. The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly and attentive. Each hole gives you a different challenge and the views are great. Several holes have water which could come into play. The signature hole was "Big Water" which features an elevated tee shot to a water-surrounded green. The big thing to watch are Pin placements. Greens have multi levels and if you don't get in the right spot, 3 putts are routine
Big boy track
Really enjoyed my round. Very intriguing layout. Fantastic visuals. Two par 3's over 230 yards...excellent! Will definitely return.
the course is very tricky but fair.
love this course greens were in great shape, fairways like astroturf. the layout is great.
The usual
It was great as usual. Always a treat golfing here.
Blind Shots
Most shots from the Blue tees are blind shots. Lots of desert area. Signage was adequate to find the next tee box, most cart paths dirt.
