Little Gem
Narrow fairways, lots of water hazards but in great condition.
Too Bad, Not a Reflection of the Course
I drove from Phoenix last minute to play. I was very happy with the course initially but unfortunately there was a wedding party of some sort right in front of me. Took almost 3 hours to play the front 9, not the fault of the course for sure. They were awesome in trying to help me with options but unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the back. I will be going back and I appreciate everyone I met.
With just a little TLC
Course was fun. Extremely target oriented.takes the bomber advantage away.
Tees need some TLC and fairways a bit of mowing, bit the course was in much better shape for August than many Phx facilities.

Tough day
First time playing WCC. Liked the course layout. Tight fairways, a bit shaggy. Greens were in good shape. No cart paths and more signage/directions would be nice. Friendly staff. We liked it overall and will be back.

Review on 6/22/24
I’ve played this course during the winter and the conditions were really good. I played last week the fairways and green were in great shape for this time of year and they rolled good. They kept up with the fairways and rough. The heat wasn’t to bad we teed off at 8am and finished at 1145. The water coolers were fresh.
Great course
The course is in excellent shape for this time of year. I always enjoy playing at Wickenburg C C.
Different and interesting, but frustrating
Definitely not a traditional course. Only used irons during my round. Extremely thin fairways with no landing areas for longer shots and many of them are blind shots, so you’re going to lose balls you wouldn’t ordinarily lose. I love the desert surroundings and isolation, but the cart paths should be paved if you’re using the title of country club.
With the current setup and the seldom need for your woods, the course should be converted into a high end 27 hole par three course. It would be an unreal place to visit and workout your iron play and enjoy the desert and views

Excellent course
I really enjoy playing Wickenburg Country Club and look forward to playing there again. I have never had a bad experience there. I wish it was closer, then I would play there more often.

Wickenburg Country Club
Great course and very challenging as it is a target golf course.It was in great shape and greens putted true. Friendly people and staff. Would definitely recommend and play it again.⛳️⛳️

Not for me
Golf carts old and run down service non existent , cart trails very confusing to find next hole Poona greens off fairways only small patches of grass scenic course at times Will not be back …. No recomendations
We are always thankful for every review and rating, even the bad ones. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy our course like so many others do.
Our carts are in the final year of our lease agreement but you are the first person to describe them as old and run down. Most people are surprised to hear that they are in as good a shape as they are for their 6th season.
We do not have staff to carry people's bags from the parking lot to the cart and back. Most people have found our golf shop staff to be very friendly and helpful when asked or needed.
We do not have a lot of signs around the golf course and there may be areas that we can improve on the signage but for the most part, if you are looking and paying attention to our signs, you can find your way around the course.
Our greens are certainly NOT Poa Annua. There are some small spots in them for sure, but they are an overseeded bermuda base with bent grass and rye grass. We do not overseed our rough, so during the winter months, it is dormant bermuda and this time of year it is patchy as it fills in with bermuda coming out of dormancy.
If you are looking for a golf course with lots of maintained turf, this is probably not a good option. It is very narrow and we maintain very little outside of what is required for the playable part of the course.
Fun Track
Has unique and challenging par 4s, and the conditions were good. The course is gorgeous and isolated in nature on most holes. I wish there were a couple more opportunities for driver off the tee- rarely used driver off the whites. Staff were nice and accommodating.

Driver is certainly not a requirement out here, especially if you hit it more than 200 yards.
The course certainly is unique and not a favorite of everyone. We are glad you were able to enjoy it!
Best shape ever
WCC is one of my favorites. It's location is beautiful, it is one of the more affordable places to play, and the people are "home town" friendly. I do think they should print out some instructions (aiming directions, yardages) for the holes with blind tee shots. Maybe there is a book, and I've just never seen it.

Most people are agreeing with you that our course is in great condition. We do take a little bit of pride in the "home town" friendly and hope that everyone feels that way when they are here.
We do have a yardage book. We try to give that out to our first time visitors before they tee off. Most find it very helpful, especially when they are not playing with someone that has played the course before.
Great people great coarse . A person can get into trouble very easily if you miss a fairway and there are some blind shots choose you club off the tee box carefully

We certainly try to provide an experience that justifies the cost while charging enough to keep the doors open. Compared to other courses in the area, we generally compare favorably, but it is very relative.

Not what I was hoping for
Greens were great, fairways were good, but the course layout is stupid particularly from the back tees which make it virtually impossible even though it is not terribly long at around 6300 yards.

Our course has that effect on some people, especially first time visitors. You can certainly go through a few balls. Most people find that the course grows on you after a couple of rounds and you get a better idea of where to hit it.
We have had some very good players come through that love the course because it requires your attention all the time. They find it great practice for mid and long irons as they prepare for their tournaments and qualifiers.

Thanks for joining us for a round! We appreciate the feedback as well. This has been a rough summer for us and we definitely have some trouble spots on the course. We are looking forward to our early September over seed and opening back up on October 1 with an over seeded golf course. We hope you come back up after our over seed to find a much better conditioned golf course!
