Elephant Rocks at Williams

I golfed this course with my 7 yr old son, he rode along but did not play. We were also with my buddy and his 10 yr old son who also just rode along. We were paired with another couple who were great.
The course was in great shape and was a good combination of difficulties. I would recommend it for any skill level.
The staff, well, thats where things could be improved. Mainly it was just one guy in the office, wish I remembered his name. Quite frankly, he was a jerk. Luckily, there was another guy in the clubhouse when we checked in, who took over and was super friendly and very accommodating. After talking with other regulars at the course, it sounds like this is a known issue. Hopefully they find a replacement because other than him, we had a great experience.
Also, we got down with our round around 5:30 and the clubhouse/bar was already closed, which was kind of a bummer. I believe there might have been a special event going on, a wedding maybe, so maybe thats why.
Overall, a great course, great deal and if I'm in Williams again I'll definitely play it again. I'll just avoid "the jerk".

This guy who was playing in front of us yelled and screamed at us for going around the wrong way to the bathroom in the cart. Started yelling and screaming at the group in front of him for I do not know what. I flagged down a ranger to tell him about this guy and was told THIS GUY WORKS THERE AS A RANGER and does that while he plays.

Beautiful weather, great conditions every golfers should play this course.

Fun course really nice greens soft consistent sand in bunkers just 1 water fountain on course so bring water

first time playing elephant rocks...very enjoyable

We started play late in the morning - tempting fate in the summer where afternoon showers come often. And indeed we had to stop twice in rain shelters (the course has a lot of them!)

The course itself is quite playable although many of the holes lack imagination. Have your cellphone camera ready for the tee box at 18 though.

The greens were in perfect shape and rolled about as true as I've ever seen. Props to the greens keepers for them.

Played mid week. Showed up to the course early and we got to play early. Beautiful scenery, almost had the course to ourselves.

Really nice course not too far from flagstaff. The day we played it was terribly windy and the pin locations were ugly. It was a real mental and physical test. Pin placements were for a scamble tournament.

Great course and staff.course was in great shape and the scenary was awesome weather a little rainy but still a great play.

Drove up from Sedona and arrived early. Was upcharged for being early then stuck in mens scramble. Cups placed in stupid spots on the greens to accommodate the scramble. Took 5.5 hrs to play the round. Wont go back.

Fairways and greens were plush and green nice variety of holes. Pleasantly surprised that my drives traveled 15-20 yards further than Texasn

Fantastic course in great shape with wonderful vistas. Challenging layout with a variety of holes. Some are tree lined others are more open with water, bunkers and cross fairway hazards. No 12 is a beautiful par 3. No 17 is a long par 5 through trees and elevation changes to an elevated green. 18 is a long par 3 down hill drop off of 100+ft. green is ringed by tress with a large trap in the left front. Hidden gem but worth the drive. Right off I40 west of Flagstaff.

This is just fun, no-frills GOLF in a beautiful setting, Excellent course conditions. Fairway and rough on one hole had been recently plugged, not sure if more holes will follow.

Elephant rocks is one of the most scenic courses I have played. The course is in excellent condition and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this course to everyone.

as a first time player on this course I was pleasantly surprised. The course was laid out in the the woods and then opened up on some holes for country side challenge. I got a hole in one on the second hole par 4 with a 272 yard drive. Lots of fun at this course and can't wait to play it again.

I really enjoyed this course. Felt that it had a nice mixture of holes that required good club selection and shot placement and holes where you could grip it and rip it. Water came into play on a few holes, traps were strategically placed on many, and some wound their way through the forest. The course was well maintained and green throughout. Unfortunately when I played, the greens had been punched a week prior so they were not in optimum condition. But give them another 10-14 days and would probably be great. The only beef I would have, if you can call it that, was the lack of yardage markers. But all in all a great play for the price and would definitely play again.

Great mix of the old 9 with the new 9 holes. In great shape. Very cool old school bar/restaurant area. Staff was exceptional. Hidden gem in northern AZ!

played this course when we were in Williams for a few days. the course was closed for aerating for a couple of days and I played 2 days after so the greens were a bit rough. this course is nicely laid out and has some really great scenic views on many holes.
