Mojave Resort Golf Club

About
Mojave Resort Golf Club has a reputation for being one of the best courses in the tri-state area. The layout has a traditional design that combines desert golf with a classic links-style course for a unique golfing experience. The golf course has a fair amount of challenges but it's player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The fairways are nearly as wide as they are long, offering ample room that very forgiving if you're slightly errant. There are cleverly fingered bunkers framing the greens, which are made even trickier thanks to the subtle but tricky breaks. Water hazards come into play occasionally, including on the two finishing holes. The quality is on par with another popular golf course in the area, Laughlin Ranch. Although it's slightly less challenging, Mojave Resort Golf Club is just as scenic.

Every Challenge You Want in a GC
A beautiful, tough course with water carries, sand, blind shots, fairway undulations & fast greens. Driving range included in green fees and large practice green. Gets heavy play so book early as possible. In spite of no one on the 1st tee & no group in queue, the desk staffer said we could only go out 20 minutes earlier than our t-time if we payed the higher non-twilight fee. After 10 minutes and still no bodies on #1, we talked to the starter. He sent us out right away. They do not give rainchecks but we were told we could return same day and start where we left off if there was nobody on that hole.
PACE
There was a tournament going on and wasn't told about it. The players thought they were on the PGA. There was no marshall keeping the pace up. On the 12 hole i had to wait 15 minutes before moving forward and decided to call it quits as that was already 3.5 hours of play. It will take me sometime to come back there. Come down to laughlin about every 4 to 6 weeks I will go play at bullhead city for awhile.
Great course
Played the Mohave golf course this morning, the fairways bunkers and greens are amazing. We had some flooding a couple days ago and the course was in amazing shape! The staff is always willing to help, great food and excellent customer service. We appreciate their attention to detail! We will continue to play Mohave golf course. Keep up the great work
Beauty and challenge but far from a great experience
One of the slowest rounds ever played (5+hrs). Starter put way too many twosomes out on the course after an event earlier in the morning.. Carts do not have GPS and hole mapping. Cart paths often were confusing and difficult to find from the fairways. Never saw a course marshall monitoring pace of play.
Generally the fairways and greens were in good condition, Back nine greens were mixture of turf and rolled slower than front nine greens. Had lots of bunker shots and found bunker conditions were inconsistent (soft sand to hard pan). Tee boxes were sometimes worn and punched. No ball washers anywhere. No permanent bathroom facilities on the course, just the occasional porta-potty. No drinking fountains or water refill stations on the course, but drinks cart came by once on each nine.
For the $99 green fee, the course beauty and challenge delivered value, but the slow pace of play really tarnished the experience.
Mojave Golf Course
Course was in very nice shape Fairways were green not all dried up. Greens were in great shape
Nice Course. Slow pace
Fairways were green and greens were challenging. Bunkers were soft sand. Overall good conditions and amenities. We played the back nine first and finished in under 2 hours. We got the front nine and were 3-4 to groups deep waiting at each hole. It took about 3 hours to finish. It did not leave us with a positive outlook on managing pace of play or tee times. The staff was all very friendly.
Mojave GC
Pro shop was great. Was a single but starter put me in behind the locals . Gave up after 6 holes even playing two balls. Pace of play was normal for a local course use to catering for all the retired boys use to 5+ hour rounds.
Would have been more enjoyable if starter could have put me in with a deuce or another single. Course looks like it's been neglected since the same time last year. All about the $ I guess.
