Excellent Round
The course layout and views were wonderful. The lake, nice homes and great rolling greens made for a great day on the course. I will definitely booked again and well worth the drive. Staff was friendly and practice area was nice especially having instead of mats!!!
Don't waste your time or money!!!!!
This is the second time I have been to this course and I will not be returning ever again. I booked a early tee time 0710 to get done early and do other things with my day after finishing hole 1, hole 2s tee box was being watered so I skipped the box because I didn't want to get anymore soaked than I already had just passing it. Tee box number 4 was the same and they were also watering the fairway which again caused problems. But after that things were smooth. At the turn I noticed there were a ton of people at the club house and I thanked my lucky stars I started early and didn't have to wait behind all of those people especially seeing as I was a single playing alone. 10 and 11 were good I was keeping a really great pace but then while I was putting at 11 I noticed all the people from the club house coming out to the back nine all foursome and one set came to tee box 12 waited for me to finish putting and then teed off. It was down hill from there. I had to wait what felt like a eternity for them to finish the par three and then again same thing happened when I finished 12 and headed to 13. It was rude uncalledfor and I was given no warning that this would happen. I called it a day on hole 13 refusing to be forced to wait on all these people when I had come on time and kept a good pace all day. Needless to say this course is very poorly managed and when I said something to the guy at the club house he rudely snapped back that it was a senior thing they do every Thursday. Okay well a heads up would have been nice I would have picked a different day to play the course. In steed I'll be playing any course but this one from now on. Don't act like everyone should know something that is not posted anywhere. If there was a way to get my money back I would because this place isn't worth 20 bucks let alone 60.
Constantly Harassed
The course is in great condition, the clubhouse personnel and the club pro are always very friendly. On this day I was paired with a member and a father and son. We were constantly harassed by the marshal, despite our foursome playing the front nine in 2 hours. It started again on the back nine, we were constantly told to picked up the pace despite not hold up the threesome behind us. Ridiculous! Completely ruin our round!
Great course
Excellent layout it’s usually in good shape. There are a few holes on the back nine that are cart path only.
Great Course
Best I've played all year. Greens were quick and true, plenty of water to get yourself in trouble, but not make it impossible. Needs better sand in the bunkers, but that seems to be a common theme in DFW, and I'll take the over watering over hard pan and dead spots all day.
Outstanding course
Me and a friend were in Texas for work in Granbury. Chose to play Harbor Lakes. Absolutely love this course. Tee boxes well maintained, nice clean fairways, solid greens. Bunkers are a downside. They are more waste bunkers than typical sand bunkers but still managed to hit a few flop shot out of them. They have a great driving range and putting area. It’s all covered in the price of play so no paying extra to go warm up. The food at the club house is also fantastic. Free ice and water before you start the round. I’ve cold towels for the hot days like when we played. Will recommended for others to check the course out. If ever I’m in the area I’ll be sure to go play another round
The Course IS the Lake
Played here several times the last few years, and usually enjoy it, despite the droves of old boomers driving around in their “Look at me” Golf Carts with rain shields and true spoke rims. 🤣🤣🤣 However, someone needs to get in the ear of management and tell them to shut down the irrigation on this course for a week at least. North Texas has had 3 feet of rain in the last few months, and Harbor “Lake” is the wettest, muddiest course around. ***STOP OVER WATERING*** This isn’t June 2023.
Holes, 2, 9, 14, and 17 are just nasty mud pits around the edges. 14 has always been a joke, but the other holes don’t need the amount of water they are getting. I’ll check back in the Fall, and see if the “Lake” has dried up.
Harbor Lakes
Looked online and there was a breakfast menu, but weekdays there’s no grill. Multiple holes we had to wait for the sprinklers to quit before we could finish the hole. Some bunkers were filled with water. Staff was super friendly. Course was beautiful green. Greens were difficult but in great shape. I drove well over an hour to play, and I’d do it again to play here.
Harbor Lakes a GEM
Played there a few times several years ago and it became my favorite in the area.
I was not disappointed . It is still at the top of my list. Planning on returning soon
pace of play
Too many players in some groups which made for very slow play. (6hr& 45min) STUPID
