The Course IS the Lake
Played here several times the last few years, and usually enjoy it, despite the droves of old boomers driving around in their “Look at me” Golf Carts with rain shields and true spoke rims. 🤣🤣🤣 However, someone needs to get in the ear of management and tell them to shut down the irrigation on this course for a week at least. North Texas has had 3 feet of rain in the last few months, and Harbor “Lake” is the wettest, muddiest course around. ***STOP OVER WATERING*** This isn’t June 2023.
Holes, 2, 9, 14, and 17 are just nasty mud pits around the edges. 14 has always been a joke, but the other holes don’t need the amount of water they are getting. I’ll check back in the Fall, and see if the “Lake” has dried up.
Harbor Lakes
Looked online and there was a breakfast menu, but weekdays there’s no grill. Multiple holes we had to wait for the sprinklers to quit before we could finish the hole. Some bunkers were filled with water. Staff was super friendly. Course was beautiful green. Greens were difficult but in great shape. I drove well over an hour to play, and I’d do it again to play here.
Harbor Lakes a GEM
Played there a few times several years ago and it became my favorite in the area.
I was not disappointed . It is still at the top of my list. Planning on returning soon
pace of play
Too many players in some groups which made for very slow play. (6hr& 45min) STUPID
good layout
With exception to the bunkers, the course is in great shape. I've played the course many times and don't understand why they keep the bunkers since they aren't playable (rocks, hard sand, etc.). Fix and maintain the bunkers and the course would be great.
Best course in granbury
Best course in granbury great carts, course, staff and overall worth every penny
Review on Harbor lakes
Great course, only problem was due to weather the day before. Other than that course was good! I shot +3 and was happy with my first time out there! Greens were good only man problem was the sand. They were rocky and hard so hard to get out when I got in the pit. Was harsh on the clubs in the pit. Great course
Turn off irrigation system
Course is flooded not from rain saw dry spot in places. Could be a great course so you don’t come back mud all over you.
Thanks
