Hidden Gem in Santa Barbara
This course is private so we couldn't book it on any of the online sites. We decided to take a drive and check it out as it was so close to the center of Santa Barbara. What a beautiful facility we found when we arrived and in pristine condition. We were very lucky that we were there on a very quiet Monday afternoon and also that my husband had been a member of a McKenzie designed course in NZ. The very helpful professional allowed us on the course at a discount rate (full visitor would have been $300) and we felt very privileged to have been allowed to play there. The course was challenging without having a lot of water hazards - lots of bunkers though and elevations. The course condition could not have been better and was full of wildlife. The views down to the water from the elevated clubhouse were great. Sadly there was no food & beverage service while we were there as we would have loved to stay for refreshments after the game. They have cottages to rent there and that would be very worthy of checking out.
