Indian Valley Golf Club

Considering the amount of rain we have had lately, the course was in pretty good condition. Some of the greens had been aerated and sanded recently. A group right in front of us was quite slow. We skipped a hole to get around them. They never offered to let us play through. The marshall should have spoken to them.

I have a private club membership 30 miles away but when our course is closed, I.V. is the easily the next best. With a brilliant design cut into the hills, every hole has a distinct layout. Drainage is excellent, course maintenance is very good.

Still the best and only trak with a free elevator ride, just when you need it, after the par3 13th hole. That's about the time when your legs are saying, we could use a quick rest, and there it is after the par 3, a rather large green elevator that provides a great view of the lake as it climbs up the last stretch of great finishing holes. dont get me wrong the front portion has some steep climbs but well worth the hike after you hit 250+ drives downhill. that day I hit the cart path on the 9th and was 10yrds from the green and made bird. great day, was wet but well worth the walk. And the hotdeal price $18 plus subtract $10 off from golfnow. cant beat that anywhere, except for the hotdeal one time i got from Yocha Dehe $35 w/cart. great golf in norcal i must say.

The course was in better shape than most with the weather we've had.

Fun course good fun! Great conditions for December...enjoyed putting on smooth greens. A little damp but that is normal for this time of year. If I had one wish it would be rebuild some of the tee boxes so the are not too undulating and make them consistent.

Every Time I play golf here, I am really satisfied with surrounding scenery and good lay-out ,fast green and more.l'd been played 4 times here with the different group. They were so good,gentle friendly. I was very impressed this golf course. God bless America!!!

Haven't played Indian for a while. I found the course to be in excellent condition. So nice to play a public course in such good shape.

Was a bit windy, which liked for addl. challenge. Greens in nice shape. Have become more fond of this course the past couple years. Plays harder than the slope rating..... especially for the better players and longer hitters because for them it becomes target golf and trouble on a lot of holes. Also lots of elevation changes and blind shots, so course knowlledge important. Would recommend to any skill level. Peaceful, scenic with lots of wildlife. Worth the drive if looking to get away from hustle & bustle.

Well maintained course, challenging. Need a cart for sure. Nice bar though restaurant closed at 3pm. Course is 40 miles south of Santa Rosa my home over congsted hwy 101. Lousy driving range, a real joke. Very scenic but pricey.

I haven't played this course in a few years. I like the layout and thought it would be fun to walk the course. How many courses have an elevator to get you to the next hole?? Windy day (white caps on adjacent Stafford Lake) made it a little tougher, but overall good day. My only complaint was they were letting out groups of five (5). We had two five-somes in front of us. Usually when this happens it's the 'locals'. I was just a visitor.

Beautiful quiet shortish course, that may be surprisingly hard to score on! Stunning views above Stafford Lake, Novato. Hope they offer Golfnow more often, as it's rather more pricey, and you need a cart for back nine especially!

Great fun course. A little on the shorter side if you're a long hitter. Reached the 360 yard Par 4 10th on the fly.

Lots of elevation changes which I like and very scenic views.

Great course with interesting views, each one presented its unique challenges. The fairways were in great shape. A few greens and tee boxes had minor issues that did not distract from play. The gentleman at the pro shop could improve on his customer s revive skills, he was not friendly at all. We were paired up with a gentleman who brought along his brother who recently had a stroke. Part of his therapy is to get out and move a bit. The Pro Shop charged for his use of the golf cart which was being used anyway. I live and play many of the central Florida courses where the golf cart is included in the Golf Now posted rate. Being told that I would have to pay an additional $30.00 for the cart caught me by surprise as I didn't see the small print shaded note when making the reservation. I would suggest that Golf Now make it so you have to acknowledge that you understand this the same as you do with the cancellation policies. It would also help if they would post the golf cart rate.

Yes, walking golfers take a funicular (incline railroad) up the side of a steep hill to the tee after playing #13. The course among the beautiful forested Marin County hills has a lot of interesting and challenging holes. With the many interesting holes combined with the good condition of the course, Indian Valley is a great value.

This course has a lot of blind shots. The fairway was well kept and green are in great condition but slow. I would play this course again if there is a good deal.

Course in beautiful shape, well layed out. Very slow play. Never have encountered such an unfriendly staff. Totally made us feel like we didn't belong there. From golf shop checkin to grill.

Played here with a foursome. The weather was pretty gloomy, so the course was slower than usual. The course was in pretty good condition considering it rained the day before. It ended up being a really fun track to play. The course felt really spacious, so we almost felt like we were by ourselves. There were plenty of elevation changes, but it was a pretty easy walk. Overall, this was a really good experience. I would definitely come back.
