Peacock Gap Golf Club
About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

Sad day
2.5 hours and not even through 8. Honestly the worse pace of play I have ever experienced. However, greens are great, albeit littered with pitch marks. Really great staff but will never come back on a weekend.
Peacock Gap - 3/5
The restaurant and practice facilities are awesome, and the layout is well-designed with interesting holes. However, the fairways are in poor condition and several greens are damaged, affecting playability. While the amenities are great, the course conditions don't justify the 4-star rating or premium pricing. Has potential but needs better maintenance to be worth the cost.
Rude Staff
We booked a 1:24 tee time and we got there early and we asked the starter if we can head out early since NO-ONE was on the first tee, fairway or green. He simply said no even if it’s wide open and just us on the course, we have to tee off at 1:24. That obviously caused the course to clog up as there were three or four groups teeing off around the same time.
Not well maintained
For great Layout the T boxes are in bad condition and Big branches of weeds that can be easily removed are near the Green's Fairways are not maintained.
If cared and $$ spent this can be one of the best Golf course in the area
always a great day
This is not the most interesting course, but usually in fairly good condition, and a great value for the money. Very forgiving but a few challenging holes. Greens and fairways in good shape (tee boxes could use some TLC). Friendly staff and decent amenities. For the price, in the Bay Area, this is definitely a great deal
A shorter course from white tees still challenging
Nice layout relatively flat. Some difficult bunkering on some holes. Good for seniors as not as long as many courses and I assume beginners as well. Maybe that explains slow pace of play. Our cart kept giving messages that we were behind on pace of play but we were waiting on the tee box most of the day for the group in front. No ranger in sight all day. We took a cart but it's pretty walkable too. Overall I enjoyed the course.
Slow, don't play on a weekend!
I like that all ages are attracted to golf and this course. But, the pace of play on a weekend is too much to handle.
Nice Course, Good Food, Isolated from Phone & Internet
A nice, fair course overall.
Even nicer, if you want to totally escape any possibility to receive/make a phone call, text message, and never see an email or check the Internet, THIS IS YOUR PLACE to escape the world around you.
Meaning, T-Mobile and Verizon are in SOS mode here, but you can connect to WIFI when in its clubhouse.
Also has an excellent “grass” driving range and very good food selection.
It’s a modern version of Back to the Future.
Good golf
4 1/2 hours for a Sunday was great. Excellent staff
Course in the sun
If you can’t get on to the SF courses, or just want to walk in the sunshine, this course is a great option close to the city. Very walkable, good practice facilities and the greens were rolling quick .
Stoped by the clubhouse and had a bite of some tasty bar fare (they have a dinner) to cap off the day.
Worth teeing it up, if you have not played it yet.
