About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

Nice course, but slow pace and overpriced.
It’s a nicely kept, fairly straightforward course that plays pretty easy. It can a bit slow and they don’t actively encourage pace of play on the course, but it’s not too bad. Used to be my go to, but the price is way too high for a flat, 6000 yd course. A lot better values in the area that are just as nice and far more challenging. Their twilight price ($60-$70) is higher than prime time at nicer courses.
Course is expensive for the condition it is in!
The course is quite pricey for the condition. I would expect more for what the green fees are. There are a lot of weeds in the fairway and dead spots in some areas.Tee boxes need some attention. There are better courses for the value.
Familiar and relaxing....
Played here many times. Conditions were average due to greens still recovering from Spring maintenance and inconsistent bunker conditions (generally more firm sand needed - less hard pan). Course well drained following prior rainy days. Nice cart GPS systems.
Great location
Links style coarse well maintained, greens were slow and uneven due to being punched last week, but that will heal.
Beware after rain
I booked through GN with a cart. It had rained for a few days prior so they did not allow carts. Most fairways had significant water pooling. The course seems to have very poor drainage so I would avoid after any significant rain storms.
Tough going
Bunkers are really bad inconsistent and different almost on every hole / greens are tattered as well / for the money the rudeness of the dudes who run the pro shop no thanks!
What's Wrong with the Pro Shop
An old female player was arguing with the Pro shop staff, Chris, for about 15 minutes. The pro shop staff was not helpful or courteous. She held up the check in line. She ended up started late for her tee off and affected every team behind hers. We were late and the traffic was jammed up. We quit after 15 holes! There was not compensation for us.
There was another problem with Chris at the prop shop. We played a few weeks ago and it was not busy. We were 20 minutes early and there were two openings before our tee time. Chris would not let us start early. We had wait until for our tee time because we booked the tee time from GOLFNOW.
His attitude and policy have to be changed.
The starter ED was super friendly. He even remembered my name-it shows how often we have played there.
