The Majors Golf Club at Bayside Lakes

The staff at this golf course is extremely rude and cranky. They make you feel like you're bothering them when you ask for anything. No shag bags allowed at the practice greens, really? The course is decent and maintained pretty well, but I can't get past the rudeness of the staff, it's like they hate their jobs and take it out on the customers. I wanted to get a putter regripped so I inquired with one of the pro's, instead of saying sure we can do it for you, he acted bothered by the whole conversation and suggested I go online and purchase the grips myself and do it myself. Said I would save money????? I would say spend your money somewhere else if you prefer a good customer service related experience.

This course has come a long way. Greens roll true, tees look great. Fun course to test your skills.

My wife and I really had a great time playing golf at the Majors. The course has a challenging layout, but the greens were easy to putt on. Be careful of the wildlife while ball-hawking in the woods and around the water!

My wife and I thought the staff (Pro Shop and Starter) both woke-up on the wrong side of the bed. The course had weeds and St. Augustine grass growing all over the place. The bunkers were full of rocks and dirt. They were so hard your club would bounce off the surface. They would not allow personal coolers, on the course, but did not have a Cart-person. The water in their coolers was not drinkable. No restrooms on the back nine, so take a break at the turn.

Beautiful layout, very difficult for a beginner and there is no forgiveness for any shot but straight. Bring a few extra balls.

Stopped playing here regularly after the remodel years ago. They revamped the course to build more homes. I believe Arnold told them to not use his name after that. Got an email saying come try our new greens, ,$20 fees.Greens had stringy weeds that dont mow, just lay down, numerous octagon plugs, bare spots etc. Asked at clubhouse about the NEW GREENS, was told they only replaced 3-#1,3,14. Will not go back.

Half the greens are dead and your putting on green dirt

Think they should lower price, so that it would take the sting out of paying top dollar for below level condition .

I've played the Majors many times in the past 4 years while spending my winters in FL. Most recent before today was last year. It is about as close to a parkland layout you can find in south fl. A really well designed course that was always maintained to a certain level of integrety. Facilities beyond the practice areas are not a big issue for me but all of these are adaquate if not top notch. Unfortunately the current condition of the course is as bad as any course I've played anywhere in recent history. The greens are a mess and even the fairways & tee boxes have not been maintained well. I found myself actually putting over crabgrass? I was told 2nd hand that there was some massive chemical mistake made on the greens during the past year and some folks lost their job over it. What I thought was an incredible deal turned out to be not so much. I would advise against playing here until the greens recover. The entire course could use a makeover to say the least. Sorry to report this because this is a wonderful layout and has a great deal of potential.. I should have taken pictures.

I heard from a couple of folks at the golf store that this course was "tore up" and needed some work. This really wasn't the case. The greens had seen better days but were still in good condition. That being said, I felt rushed all day. There were golf leagues behind us and our foursome was being pushed off of each hole. I am still a novice so I may need an extra stroke (or two) but come on! We complained to the Golf Pro and his dismissive attitude about us vs. the "regulars" left a bad taste in my mouth.

the last two reviews are right on. The greens keeper killed the greens with pre-emergence. Course was excellent a month ago. Will be several months until it's playable again

Im not sure what these other reviews are saying about how fantastic the greens are, there not. There non existent, there's no grass, dry rotted, dirt, imagine putting across a concrete parking lot. Once I was on the green I just picked up, there was no point in trying. Im not sure what happened here, but its drastically declined. Tight fairways, torn up tee boxes. I wont be back for awhile

The management of this course have let it deteriorate terribly. It is a nice layout but course conditions were bad to brutal. The greens had been top dressed and left with small balls of mud like substance that made them unplayable. The T boxes, especially the standard men's Tees were all chewed up and looked like the blocks hadn't been moved for days. A lot of the course was burnt brown mainly on mounding and immediately off the fairway. Pace of play was fair.

Greens were the best I have played in Brevard County this year. Very happy with the layout of the course and difficulty of course. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Will play here again for sure.

Great course, but keep your eye on the rain report. Anytime for several days after a rain, they will keep you off all fairways. This makes your round slow!
So, if you go out at 3pm and think you will finish 18 holes by 6:15, think again!!
Those walking should be aware of the long walk between holes on the back nine.

Tough course with some hidden hazards. In nice shape with fast greens. Will be returning now that we know where sand and water can be found.
