About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Birthday Round
The course was in excellent shape and the pace of play was great, but I did get slowed down a little on holes 15-18.
Where's the Marshal???
The course was in good shape, the weather was awesome, but the pace of play was HORRIBLE!!! We were on the 17th tee box and looked over at the 18th green to see a 6'em putting out. The mystery of why it took almost 6 hours was now solved. Waiting on every shot can get frustrating and hurt your game, at least that's my excuse. Please get a marshal on the course during the weekend so everyone can enjoy a fairly expensive round of golf.
Course in great conditions
Played on 9/28 in early morning. Finished in 3.5 hrs. Greens are rolling pure. Fairways are goof but soaked on certain holes. Bunkers were groomed and soft (yeah surprisingly in Houston). Overall course in very good conditions
Always a great time
This is my third time playing this course and it never disappoints. Got out at 3:10 and was able to finish in three hours and 35 minutes. Beat the twilight crowd and ran through without any delays. Three of us played from the blues, and the course length is very fair and playable. Haven’t played my driver in a year and was able to score decent hitting irons off the tease. Will definitely be back for a fourth time…
Masters experience.
I Would never play in Augasta National because Private and only Super rich people can play.
This is the best experience We can still fell it we are in Masters.

The course was in great shape recent rains have really helped. This course is really fun to play and the weather could not have been better. The pace of play was much better than normal for Tour-18 so that was a plus.. Starter was cool and almost joined us for the day!!

Fun course but...
The layout of this course is great and a lot of fun, but I hadn't been in quite a while., They're building a ton of homes so it's not nearly as pretty as it used to be. Also, it's not a cheap golf course, there should be sand in the bunkers. We basically had to play then as ground under repair because most of them are mud pits or concrete hard. I know we've had rain but I've played a few of the other nicer courses around and none of them had this problem. If you've never played it it's worth a visit but in the shape it's in its a $50-60 course. Kind of a shame really

Overall this is a great course.
We had a great round at Tour 18. The bunkers could use some attention. A lot of them we lacking sand. No complaints other than that.
