Tour 18 Houston

Tour 18 is always in good shape and that was the case again this week. Unfortunately hole 9 is completely shut down right now for renovations. No temporary green or anything. So until further notice you're paying for 17 holes, making the $70 weekday price tag a little hefty. They also removed all water coolers from the course (been that way for a while) so bring your own water or buy some in the clubhouse. I don't think I'd play here again until hole 9 is back up and running but once that happens it'll resume its spot it my normal rotation.

Construction on course brought overall rating down.

Fairway divots everywhere, greens have good speed, traps in good shape, old golf carts

Very cool to play some of the most iconic holes in golf. Greens were in pretty good shape, as was the fairways. The tees were in horrible condition, I thought. The staff did a horrible job of managing the pace of play. They should have put a bunch of twosomes together. The starter should have explained the cart path only rules and what holes that was on. It was pretty dry, so it wasn't needed. It was fun to play, but wouldn't be my course of choice if I lived here.

The greens are in very good condition, as is much of the course. There are quite a few temporary tee box’s that are not level or in good shape. However, the two groups in front of us were playing from the Tips, they shouldn’t have been and were looking for balls on every hole. The Marshall was driving around but I never saw him say anything. Hole 9 is still under repair and you have to skip it. They are building subdivisions on many of the holes so there is tons of construction. Normally, I like playing here, but I will wait a year or so to let them finish all the work going on.

Extremely busy and slow took me 6 hour to play 17 holes because hola 9 it's under construction

We were never told that the Island green was closed and under repairs. We waited on about every tee box for the groups in front of us. Was close to a 5 hour round. I saw a Marshall once the whole day. No cart girl on the course, no water station either. This has been one of my favorite courses in the past, so I no they can do better.

So many businesses going down hill lately.

On the bright side the greens were in good shape.

One hole was closed. Pace of play extremely slow (5 1/2 hour round). Cart attendant has no snacks. For price, there are many other courses that give better value.

Just fyi, hole 9 is under construction, I wished I knew when I booked this course..

Excellent golf course layout. Particularly like playing

The combos tees. The greens and fairways were in excellent shape. Carts in good shape. We had a coffee and a breakfast taco before going out, it was also good.

Pace of play was terrible. Took 2 hours to play the first 6 holes. Marshal said he knew where the hold up was. But had not yet moved them up a hole. We finally finished our round after 4 hours and 45 minutes on the course. Terrible!

We have played this course in the past And it was in great shape. Over the years it’s obvious nobody had been doing maintenance or upkeep. After everything started falling apart, they have more started to try to fix things. The island hole is closed. The signs are in poor condition. It looks like there is no pride of ownership. We were never told the course was under construction either. There was a tournament that was booked while we were scheduled to play so we got stuck in the middle of a tournament. The play was being slow with no Marshall to speed up play. Took over 4.5 hours and were skipped one hole to get around horrible players that thought they were on the PGA. VERY DISAPPOINTING FOR THE PRICE.
