About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Beautiful course.
Tour 18 has always been great from tee box to green. Now, it appears the cart path & club house are catching up. It was disappointing that we only got in 15 holes in a little over 4 1/2 hours. That said any visit to Tour 18 is always great.

Pace of play terrible. We had a group of 16 guys book 4 tee times. The day of the round, the course unilaterally added two singles to two of our groups to give us two 5 somes. Slowed the round down and was not appreciated. Course didn’t compensate us for the inconvenience. Dont know if this is common at this course but be wary of playing here.

Slow
Allowed two employees to skip hole 1 and play infringe of us the whole round.... made it very slow. Makes no sense. 5 plus hour round.

A Masters Course
A dream come true after watching golf for a life time
To actually play the holes was a thrill
After winning the lottery in 2016 to attend a practice round at Augusta playing the Tour Eighteen proved to be a bigger thrill and I did it with my two sons
Highly recommend all golfers to play it
But beware it is the hardest course I’ve been on and I played Scottsdale to Maui
Enjoy and Don’t rush it

The greens could not have been better

As spectacular as it was to play eighteen famous holes I feel it is too difficult for the average golfer
I thought it was more difficult than The Plantation in Maui

Tour 18 was in good condition as at the time I played it on October 19, though some ongoing course improvement efforts were visible. Overall good value for money.

Very slow play. Teed off at 1:51, hoping to get in 18. Had to skip a hole to pass up a 5some, then was held up st Amen corner for 25 min. 3 groups on the tee. They need Marshall to speed up play.

Always a Treat
My guest came in from New Orleans and loves to play Tour 18. He is especially interested in the stories on each tee box and took pictures of them all. Course was in fabulous condition, staff was very conscious of social distancing protocols and as usual helpful and considerate,, and the company is taking this opportunity to redo the clubhouse! Played in a tournament the next day and it was more of the same quality service. Keep up the good work.

Even the best round on the best course is ruined by slow play. Five hours and no one enforcing speed of play.

Fun Course
The course was in wonderful condition, as it has been for the past six months. It's not super long but it does provide a good challenge with plenty of water and bunkers around the course. The greens were in great shape and probably a little faster than your average course. The round was moving along at a normal-ish pace for a weekend until we got to the 15th green and saw seven people waiting on the 16th tee. Not sure what happened but there was plenty of waiting for the last three holes. Also, we saw some guys on the golf boards cruising directly across the 6th green. I've never rented one of those so I don't know the rules about where you can/can't drive them but that struck me as odd. As of this review there were rakes in the bunkers but still no water coolers on the course. Overall, a good experience at Tour 18.
