About
Situated just 25 minutes outside of New Orleans, Oak Harbor Golf Club is one of the area's most popular courses. The course is a challenging test without being too intimidating for beginners. It offers risk-reward holes that will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Lee Schmidt, who worked closely with Pete Dye, designed the golf course, and incorporated many of Dye's signature features into the design. Sculpted mounding and native grasses frame the generous landing areas and you'll even find Dye's trademark railroad ties framing the greens. There are also several lakes that come into play throughout. Oak Harbor Golf Club's seventh and 15th holes are particularly notable for their intimidating tee shots over water. If you strategize carefully, the four par 5s provide some birdie opportunities but you'll have to carefully navigate through a combination of water, traps, and undulations.

Needs work
Nice layout, nice greens. Fairways need a lot of work. Could be a really nice course. Tee boxes need work as well.
Grounds under repair
Fairways were full of large repair holds, mounds of dirt
Spots with no grass
Guess they are redoing drainage
It has been like this for at least 2 weeks
Nice links style course
I play here several times a year. The greens are always in great shape as are most tee boxes. The pace of play is pretty good on most days and the links style layout makes for a fun course for players of all skill levels. Water comes into play on most holes so bring enough balls! I definitely recommend this course.
Challenging course
Fast greens and water everywhere.
Some of course is in rough shape but it is the dead of winter.
Overbooked
Crowded and overbooked on an am weekday. They should have never taken my tee time. Didn’t even get to play and had pre-paid for the round which they wouldn’t refund.
Great shape in November
Course was a great shape. Fairways were very nice. Greens were in perfect conditions.
Loved course. Some areas needed better directions to next tee box. It was just alittle confusing.

Course in great shape. Lightning fast greens. Gentle breeze and partly cloudy. Great day for golf
