About
The public 18-hole layout, formerly known as the Austin Country Club, was designed by renowned architects, J. Press and Perry Maxwell. It served as teaching grounds for Harvey Penick, as well as Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw.
Riverside Golf Course challenges and delights players of all skill levels with its mature trees and scenic water hazards. Its convenient location, five minutes from downtown Austin and 10 minutes from the airport, makes it a serene escape without having to leave the city.
Getting there : From Austin, take IH-35 south to Riverside Drive. Go east on Riverside Drive 2.2 miles to Grove Blvd. and turn left. The course entrance is to the left before the community college.

this course is playable for anyone.
I did like the par5 's, I noticed the course is easy to get around. No struggling up and steep slopes. That the only reason I keep going back.
Good for the money
You can’t beat it with the location the price and the alright playing conditions. Highly recommend
Friendly people great burgers
Its convient and not too busy the burgers are great
Everything to wet
The course was in very nice condition. I know watering is key but maybe a little less water would do the course good. No rain in the area for months but the coures was extremely soggy and mud in areas around the greens that made it hard to walk up to greens.
Best in Austin
Riverside is by far the best course in Austin and has been for quite some time. The staff are all super friendly (Mike 👍) and the course is always in good shape. Need food or beverages? Order em up and they deliver to whatever hole you’re on! How cool is that? Other courses, especially when playing early, we may see a cart gal on 17 or 18. Duh! Pace of play always excellent! Highly recommend. (Don’t tell too many people though…) 🤣👍👍👍
Good course , solid value.
Challenging and fun. First few holes were hard and the rest evened out over the course of the day. Food service was wonky and partner never got his burger. Ordered it on the first hole, never got it. Will play here again. Wish they had more golf now tee times!!!
Course always in good shape. One issue I have, when Purchasing a Tee Time for a single on GN app, to arrive an be assigned with +1. Misleading
Fun place to pkay
So it is not the best course in the world but is good value. Greens were heavily sanded when we played but when it is washed in no doubt the quality will improve. Excellent helpful staff.
be prepared to share a cart with a stranger
when i booked i did it for one golfer with the cart included. when i got there they tried to put me and another single in the same cart. ended up having to buy another cart
Perfectly acceptable muni
Greens were quite bad with sand patches frequent and sand traps were flooded. Not great but we played super twilight and it was fine. Pace of play was fast because of the time of day but it was cart path only because of the rain the previous night - add that to the heat and it was a pretty tiring 14 holes but you get exactly what you pay for here.

Due to the amount of players and high demand for tee times we do require for each foursome to take two carts total for the tee time. Each player is charged a half of a full cart fee. Our fleet of 72 carts runs twice a day and does not allow for everyone to have a single cart. The city municipal courses are operating under the same regulations. We appreciate your business.
