Tee boxes in bad shape, fairways burnt and hitting off of hard pan all day. Greens putted well though, the only saving grace. Online tee time system a pain in the butt and the only way to not get gouged. My personal ugh rating...

Fairways are getting burned out, good news is ball goes further, bad news, no grass.

Greens are in excellent shape.

I will begin by saying the positive things about Tatum Ridge: the day was beautiful, the staff was friendly and the greens were in excellent condition. We had a group of 15 players and it was unanimous that we shouldn’t play there again. The fairways were in terrible condition. You could hit the ball in the center of the fairway and be on hard pan dirt or sand. Every fairway shot was a tight lie. It made the round miserable. Until we hear that Tatum has restored their fairways to great condition, we won’t be playing there again. Sorry for the bad review but it needed to be said.

Despite some fairways being burnt out … its a great layout. The greens are in great condition.

I booked online not realizing that there weren't junior rates, so I ended up paying for 3 adults and thought that I could adjust once I got there. They don't have junior rates and couldn't help me with reimbursement for the second cart I paid for since I booked through a third party, which is the only way you can book.

Then, when making the turn the lady at the counter said "First of all, you are not allowed to let those boys drive the cart" and claimed to have seen them driving the cart. They had not. The "pro" came over to the window and said if we only have one cart then we were fine. Apparently the pro scared the lady into yelling at us and accuse us of doing something we hadn't done.

The course itself was crap. There were multiple tee boxes that were more sand than grass. The fairways were in bad shape as well. And for paying almost $300 for 2 boys and an adult, this course is not worth your time or effort. Avoid it.

Greens were very good and consistent. However the fiairways and tees are terrible. Very little grass

Tee time was 7:15 -Played in under 4 hours. I live here FT and am familiar with the slow play during season and between the hours of 8am - 11am. This is the best course for the price in Sarasota County. Scott, pro shop, is super friendly and on top of things. The cart/lot guys are very nice too. Gold and blue tees make the course playable in many ways. Cheers!

While I have played this course many times the conditions of the course have never been worse. Fairways were mostly dirt tee boxes are a mess we only paid 50.00 and it wasn’t even worth it. It will be a long time before I will return even though I have always enjoyed the layout and the convenience of the location.

This course went from being in great shape to dried up in a month.

Exactly one month after discussing with my foursome how great the course was it went downhill in a hurry.

The greens were still good, but the tee boxes and Fairways were hard to find any living grass. We paid just $40 each, so guess you get what you pay for.

Course has been in great shape all year......but......the winter rye is dieing out & the Bermuda is just starting to come in....... resulting in a lot of bare spots starting to appear in fairways. Tis the season as they say. Hard to blame the course, as its the normal cycle for grasses here in Sarasota. (experienced the same thing at Misty Creek earlier this week, and they're still charging $70-80). It's really evident in fairways that have a lot of mounding, but for the price, just roll the ball into grass in these areas. Greens are still VERY nice, and rolling nice & true. Pope has done a GREAT job in revitalizing this course, and all winter was in great condition compared to other courses in the area. Hopefully they'll overseed with Bermuda to get that reestablished better, but again, this course has made great strides in the last 2 years. Staff here is always kind & friendly!!! Played a 4some today in just under 4 hours. For the price, still a great value & will keep it in my rotation, for sure. Bunkers could still stand a little bit of loving, as a few still have thin sand, but most of the green side bunkers are pretty good. Thanks Pope Golf.....keep up the good work!!!

Fairways was like playing in a dried out cow pasture.

I went to Tatum Ridge about two weeks ago and commented to others about how the course conditions had significantly improved. I went back this week and was stunned by how much the fairways had dried out and returned to dirt or dried grass. The greens were great but most of the fairways and some of the tee boxes just went to seed

Many dry bare spots on fairway, no water or cart girl to get drinks

Green in great condition fairways in fair condition but playable tee boxes a little beat up. With that said I would definitely go back and play another round.
