I really like this course
One of its best features is that there are few places on the course where you ever see a golfer that is not in front or behind you. Challenging yet very fair
The course has many great views with lots of water. Will challenge the best golfer and is set up for the lady in your life.
I found the course to be very challenging and in need of my returning for my final licking. It offers many close encounters with Florida wild life in a very beautiful setting. My wife found the course to be short enough and fair from the ladies tees to suggest to me that we would be returning for another enjoyable day at Habitat.
Greens excellent and roll true
The course is at its top for the year in maintainence as it is preped for the snow birds who pay the fat winter fees.
Great Course-Excellent Greens
This course is is good conditiion with excellent greens conditions-being a County operated course, there are shortfalls to some of the conditioning however, on a whole, the course is great to play-took 4 hours to play but alas, when the snowbirds arrive in January, the pace of play will slow down substantially as there are no marshalls to move the players along in a timely manner.
This course is a nice course to Play it can play real tough if it is windy.
I like to play this course when they have what I consider a working
Man Price to play it.
Great course to play.
I have been to this course about ten times throughout this year . Course conditions were the best I have seen so far . There are no house hazards . Most fairways are lined with thick brush , trees ,and water . In my opinion I would say hole eight is the most difficult . There is a lot of wildlife around ,birds, turtles, and have seen a alligator with three legs crossing the fairway one time . Overall great course , hope this helps , have fun.
Great County Course
I play The Habitat pretty regularly. It is a fun and challenging course.
The tee boxes on some of the holes need some attention, they are pretty beat up. The greens are in really good shape but if people don't repair their pitch marks they won't be for long.
Definitely a place worth playing and right now the weather is SPECTACULAR!
Course in fine shape
Even though there has been lots of play on this course lately it has held up well. Played on a very windy day which made it more challenging than usual but the course was in great shape.
CHALLENGING COURSE WITH NATURAL FLORIDA LANDSCAPE
COMFORTABLE COUNTY COURSE THAT IS CHALLENGING. BRING SOME EXTRA BALL BECAUSE IF YOU ARE OFF THE FAIRWAY IT,S PROBABLE IN DENSE FLORIDA WOODS.
THE RESTAURANT IS LIMITED BUT FOOD IS GOOD AND STAFF IS FRIENDLY.
Watch out for the red ants!!
The course was in fair shape. The greens were patchy and needed some attention. Sand rakes are sparse at most bunkers and the red ants are terrible. I laid my putter down twice to chip and both times the red ants attacked the club. I was keenly aware of the ant hills and colony's, but the ants just seemed to be everywhere.
This course cheated us on the rate
I booked 4 players thru GolfNow at $27 per player + fees. At the pro shop, the clerk stated that he never received anything from GolfNow, even though I had a printout of the confirmation showing total due at course of $116.01. He charged us the 'normal' rate of $37 each. I have never had a problem like this with GolfNow anywhere else. One of our foursome told me he's had the same exact problem at this course, The Habitat.
The front nine layout has imaginative features, challenging doglegs, narrow fairways, and risk/reward options that force players to consider options.
The greens were dry, firm, and needed more attention. Fairways were in great shape; sand traps well-maintained. Narrow fairways can present quite a challenge during windy conditions. A great bargain courtesy of GolfNow!
Good layout and well maintained
Great course. Enough sand and water to make it challenging but not difficult. Best greens I've played on in the area. Fairways were excellent and the rough added the right amount of difficulty.
Birds, turtles, gators and an armadillo made the round even more enjoyable. Will play many more times in the future.
One of the best in Brevard County
I have not played The Habitat in roughly 10 years. As winter rates kicked in across Brevard my buddy and I decided to head down and play for $28 each. The course was just how I remembered it although I think the fairways were a bit tighter than what I recall. This course is tough, especially when the wind picks up. There is no room for error off the tee and the greens are trickier than they seem. Greens were fairly quick and in great condition. The landscape and backdrops on the holes make this a nice change from the home-lined courses we are regularly used to. Overall, great course, great value, great condition. We are coming back soon!
excellent for public course, great condition and layout.
Nature setting a plus in this challenging yet fun playing course. Conditions are consistently above average. A definitive must play.
Just the course and no roof tops is outstanding.
This is the best County course that I know. It's in good shape, the people are nice and the layout is demanding.
Great course.
Staff was not friendly at all. The club house employee was not at all friendly . The 19 th hole employee was just as bad. Neither one of the two had people skills. I would go back just because the course was great.
