About
The Bull at Pinehurst Farms has the distinction of being the first Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Wisconsin. This highly acclaimed golf course is ranked in the top three in Wisconsin and was ranked as one of the top 100 public courses in the U.S. by Golf Digest. Formerly the Pinehurst Dairy Farm, the rolling terrain was transformed into a challenging and scenic layout. The golf course stretches to 7,354 yards from the back tees. It is a round that will test both your distance and your accuracy. Mature trees and native grasses accentuate the lush greens hills. There are a variety of elevation changes throughout the course, some of which are seemingly benign but can actually be quite tricky. The golf course closes with a memorable par 4 that has water in play, in the form of a lake and a rocky creek, until the sloped green.

Golfer Reviews
Spectacular!
This course was in immaculate conditions as well as being scenic and challenging. Friendly staff and beverage cart came around frequently.
If you are looking for a challenging course that has great views at a great value, I highly recommend playing here.
This course is better maintained than many country clubs I have played.
Superb conditions
Played the Bull the day after a day of all day rain. The course had drained exceedingly well including bunkers. Cart path only was understandable but course was not soggy at all. Lie in the fairway was amazing almost like ball was teed up. Kudos to the groundskeeper!
Superb Conditions
Fairways & Greens in superb condition, not a bad lie to be found. At 69 years old, played the white tees at 6,000 yards and challenge was perfect. Shot placement is critical and many forced carries are required to hit greens. Fairways are generous and there are some pretty steep bunkers greenside. Great course and a interesting and fair challenge from the right set of tees. My favorite course.
Green Fees
We feel they should have a senior rate. Very pricey fee.
Superb Conditions, Excellent Staff
Having booked a 5:00PM tee time, I was concerned that I would not be able to finish 18 holes before darkness arrived. Playing as a single, I arrived a bit early and would be paired with a twosome that had not yet arrived. The pro shop attendant said if I wished, the tee was open and I could go off early but I would be following a league. He did propose if I wished, I could go off the back nine and play that first because if was fairly open. This worked out superbly and I was able to finish in plenty of time before darkness. The course conditions as usual were perfect and the course is very playable from the right set of tees with accuracy at a premium.
Superb Conditions, Challenging Layout
The Bull has become one of my favorite courses to play, the course is in superb condition with excellent lies on the bent grass fairways. Jack Nicklaus loved the high fade and you can almost see him thinking of that shot as he designed this course. There are forced carries throughout, but bail out areas do exist. Important to play the right set of tees so you have manageable shots into many of these greens. You will not be disappointed!
Always a fun round at the bull. Very challenging. Price was awesome seeing we used the golf now hot deal. Usually its in the 100 mark. Range balls included with greens fee. Went mid day, played in under 3 hours. Never really had a wait here though.
Overall
Played here several times. Not a fan of a lot of target golf.
Played the appropriated tees for my handicap. (13) Yes a senior. Great condition overall. I wish golf courses would take a good look at yardage when it comes to par 4's holes and handicaps when it comes to distance. I think you would get more players to play.
Perfect fall afternoon
Tough track, beautiful layout. Will definitely come back in the summer months.
New owners have made some changes
Course was in great shape,
Noticed a few changes,
Cut quite a few trees making it feel a little less intimidating off the Tee.
Filled it a lot of bunkers with grass,
Not sure why
A very good test of golf, one of the tougher courses in Wisconsin
Will play again
Great experience
The Bull at Pinehurst Farms does not disappoint. Always have a wonderful experience. The courses is in great shape, family friendly yet challenging. I would suggest playing the handicap recommended tee box, bit if you wish to grab the Bull by the horns ..back it up. Njoy!!
