White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Thank you for playing White Heron, we take all feedback seriously and try to address your concerns. Slow Play is very common this time of year as there are a tremendous amount of Vacationers just trying to enjoy themselves. White Heron now features GPS on all carts to help facilitate a quicker round. We do everything we can to move play along, please try us again.

Course conditions were great but bathroom facilities lacking

I have no complains about the course conditions; even though weather had been very rainy for several days, there was limited standing water and greens were nice. The new golf cart with GPS was great. My biggest complaint that I must mention is the condition of the bathrooms. As a woman golfer, I found both gender neutral bathrooms so soiled I could not use and the woman’s room in pro shop closed. I used the men’s room with my husband standing guard. The woman’s room on the course had no light with a seat that slid off. You must do better for $100 on a weekday.

Generally we liked the course. Lots of tee options and course was in ok shape. Greens were excellent albeit a bit hard, but very true.

Lots of confusion on 1 and 10 tee each time we played, but we usually got out close to our tee time.

Over the 5 days, they did not move any pin locations ( not one, all 18 stayed the same) so that was very disappointing.

Fairways were average, no rough to speak of but was an OK course to play. Location was really good for us.

Great experience overall.

The course was great, condition was very good. The pace of play was slow the day we were there. The gentleman at the course was very diligently trying to get the group moving throughout the round. At the end of our round he greeted us at the 18th green and apologized for the pace of play. We appreciated the gesture and were even more impressed when he gave each of a gift for the inconvenience. A class act and a great course. I will be playing White Heron every time I am in the area.

A little over priced

The course layout is wonderful. It's very interesting to play. Lots of up and down and water! The greens were in very good shape. They were a tad slow. The fairways were ok. There were some bare spots and weeds. The rough was pretty sad. Lots of weeds and bare spots. The edges of the bunkers had weeds and scruffy grass. The staff is very nice and helpful. It was a great day of golf but not worth $95.
