Nice greens
The fairways are standard condition for Tanglewood. The greens are in good condition, plenty of grass and rolling nicely. This course is presently playing in as good condition as you'll see it throughout the year.
Its short but still challenging
Course was in great shape compared to the last time I played. The greens were looking very healthy and rolled true, other than the scuffs from the previous golfers ahead of us. Bunkers were pretty good little hard from the rain, but they had been raked that day. The fairways were good, there was some bad areas around the fairways in the rough but that's always been the case for this course. It's kind of a short course, it would be nice if they offered black and blue tees, but then again I can't complain since I don't always hit the ball like I'd like to. Overall great course for a great price.
Average
You get what you pay for here. The tee boxes and greens are in very poor shape. Greens are very burnt up considering all the rain we have had lately. It’s better than it was a few months ago when I played there last but still plenty of better options in the area.
Very green
Very green. Lush grass. Good fairway condition and greens. Putting speed a little inconsistent but probably from a lot of rain.
Good starter course
Tanglewood is a great course for the beginner golfer. Definitely needs a major overhaul, which the staff is aware of and diligently work towards. I love to play this course and look forward to the improvements.
Extremely slow play, letting 5 out and little kids and on a Sunday when course is full. No rangers to speed up play. Most courses allow so many minutes per hole then u pick up ball and move to next tee. 5 to 6 hours is extreme when on a weekday we have played in 3 hours.
