Looking better
I was extremely skeptical of the course from the Spring time reviews and speaking to some buddies who played during the Summer. I normally play this course a half dozen or more times during the season but have stayed away this season. I'm very happy I decided to book the course. The greens are filled out nicely, but they are rather slow and a bit bouncy from the shaggy length. Grass is good for the most part so long as you keep it in the fairway; if you hit under the oaks or pines then the hard pan is a just penalty for an errant shot. The staff is always friendly, but there is basically nothing more than the pro shop as far as off-course amenities - a bottled drink cooler and cold sandwiches if you forget to pack your own snacks. Just as I remember, a lot of peiple playing the course due to the price but the pace of play was surprisingly good. We played a $20 hot deals rate which was fair for the conditions; we had passed on the Saturday regular rate of $35, which I would say is overpriced compared to other area courses. Although I enjoy the course and will return again, I would recommend finding a rate less than $20-25 to avoid being disappointed with over paying.
Course that makes Legends in golf
I picked the course only because it was close to me during my travels. I was pleased with the friendly atmosphere. The course was challenging and rewarding if kept in the fairway. Heard rumors of this course being home course for Greats like Boo Weekly and Bubba Watson. No sightings on my visit. I would return and who knows how many more legends it may produce still.
Good place to play
I have noticed that many improvements are being made which is good, I just wished the tee it forward green tees would be looked at, like the 12th is on a big mound[could be flattened out a bit]. Compared to all the other tees the green tee boxes are not friendly at all.
Great time!
We had a great time. Low pressure as far as pace of play. A couple of hole being refurbished but still well worth the money!
Stay away
This course is crap. There is no other way to put it. The fairways have as much dirt as they do grass. The club house is horrendous. There’s no beverage cart anywhere at anytime. You can’t distinguish the driving range from the fairway on hole 9. Pretty much one if the worst courses I have ever played. This course is at best, a 20 dollar course and even that’s pushing it. Fifteen with free range balls is more likely. Until I have heard from several different sources that changed have been made I will not be playing this course ever again.
Needs Some Help
It was my first time playing this course. I got a hot deal for cheap so I decided to give it a chance. Upon arrival it looked relatively nice and the clubhouse is decent. The course layout is cool. It’s an open friendly course for average players. It’s hard to lose a golf ball at this place which makes it worth playing if you’re looking to score well. However, The fairways are an absolutely awful condition. There is sand and dirt everywhere almost as much is grass. I won’t be playing there anytime soon until they get some new fairways.
Cow Pasture!
This course is like playing in a freaking cow Pasture!! Way over priced for the condition of the course. No beverage cart either!
Course
The greens were a little soft due to all the rain we have been getting. The staff were friendly. I had a great time because i was able to spend tgebday with my son. The course was ok due to the winter months and no overseed.
Descent course
Good course for a day of fun. Took my wife for her first time ever golfing and we had a good time
Needs work
This course needs a lot of work. There is no grass. All the way around the course you are hitting off bare ground basically. In serious need of overseeding. The greens are poorly maintained. The upside was staff was friendly and I only paid $13.
Bumpywood
Love this course but some of the fairways and all the rough is bumpy as heck. We like to ride along the rough from shot to shot just to keep from using the fairways, but it is like riding on a stage coach.
Tanglewood
Nice and forgiving, open fairways. In general greens in good shape, nice amenities.
