Don't find yourself in here, on a par 3 on the back 9! Photo submitted by stratsville on 04/13/2013
Great day
Booked a time based on reviews. Never played here before, luckily teamed with a 2some who have. Tees and fairways were good, a few of the greens.maybe 2 or 3, weren't the best but definitely not horrible. $50 on a Sunday was great, we enjoyed the day. We would definitely return. Course layout was excellent, staff was friendly. Can't say anything bad about our experience!!!
From the senior tee
Felt invisible to the starter. No instructions. Great service in the grill and checking in. Driving range into water was unexpected. Nice layout. Fair condition for October. Tee boxes need more short grass with less Bermuda.
Wow if Sam Snead came through this place now he wouldn’t believe it.
If Sam Snead came through this place now he wouldn’t believe it.. about 15 to 20 years ago I use to play Cypress and the Oaks all the time. My sister lived on number 15 on Cypress. Well my sister is moved long ago to California and I could not play golf for close to eight years because of my back. I got clearance from the doctor and Ive played 20 rounds in the last three months With about 30% in the 70s. A few times at Osprey point, Jacaranda, deer Creek, Pompano Pines Course, And Emerald Hills. I’ll get to the point. I played the Oaks today with hardly anybody on the course. Whenever I come out as a single I’d like to play with someone. Anyways the whole property looks depressing. The course conditions were marginal at best. Dead spots on the green, And most surprising was Saint Augustine on the Teebox. I have a tendency to swing a little bit too hard am I right foot slides out if I don’t have a good hold. Saint Augustine is supposed to be in my front yard not on my golf course. Anyways don’t waste your money. There really are some great courses out there. Deer Creek is delightful and Osprey point is A golf Mecca. And Jacaranda always feels like an old glove. Emerald hills would be in the same category as Palm Aire but is a great track that just needs a little more attention. Well I guess I’ve made my point.
So so
Better courses around. Greens in bad shape. Slow and with bad spots. For 40 bucks are better options.
VALUE
$40 course with the conditions you would expect but the staff and cart lady make up the intangibles. So many places are running with rude people and no cart person in this 90 degree heat that the bar has been lowered. Booked on short notice and had a good time, would recommend
Aerated Greens with no notice
the front 9 seems like it was aerated that same morning they were in such bad shape, normally this is fine, but there was no notice on golf now when you book, there was no notice from the pro shop when you went in, just when you get to the first green you were like wow its terrible.
Nice course
Greens were not in good condition, they were refreshing
Tough Shape
Greens were in tough shape which impacts the experience. I will [play the other 2 courses before I pass judgement on this complex...
