Cypress at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

Course was in great condition.
The course was in great condition from the fairways to the greens. However, the layout of the course was very confusing. We never did find the 18th hole.
The course is finally out of Intensive care!
With the opening of the back 9 Cypress (now called the Oaks), the course is finally out of intensive care! The greens for both front and back 9 Cypress are in very good condition with acceptable speed. Although there are some works in progress on some tee boxes, they won't affect players having fun.
Mostly good
The Cypress course (9holes) was really good. The greens top notch. The Pines (second 9 ) was nothing short of atrocious. So that put a damper on the whole. You have so long between holes. And the green ae laughable.
In transitiion
Second straight course I have played without knowing, before I signed up, the course was undergoing a rebuild, this time leaving us just nine holes to play twice. Is there a way for GolfPass to announce this beforehand? I like Woodmont, nicest course in the county, but a warning would be nice.
Deceptive Practices and Unprofessional Conduct
I am compelled to formally document my profound dissatisfaction with Woodmont Country Club. The reservation was made and fully paid through GolfNow under the clear understanding that the green fee covered the standard round of golf. Upon arrival, however, we were abruptly informed—without any prior notice—that carts were not included, and we were forced to incur an additional, unexpected charge.
Despite this misrepresentation, we commenced play. The situation worsened at the turn, where we discovered that the back nine was entirely closed. No disclosure of this material fact had been made before our tee time. Instead, we were instructed to replay the front nine. What ensued was chaos: excessive congestion at the base, players stacked without order, and staff members who acted with a level of unprofessionalism wholly inconsistent with the standards expected of a golf facility.
Had we been notified that half the course was unavailable, we would never have agreed to play. Instead, we were misled, deprived of the experience for which we paid, and subjected to unfair charges and disorder. This constitutes not only a breach of trust but also a deceptive business practice.
Greens much better. Course still does not drain water!
It’s been a year since playing here. Great job with the greens. The ball actually stays on the surface e all the way to the hole. The course still does not deal
With rain well. Lost four ball with high elevation that plugged somewhere in the fairway. Overall a good day.
Fun Layout
Fun layout and conditions are good for summer. Pace of play can become an issue here on the weekends.
Back Nine and Pines under construction
Only the front 9 is available at the moment until October. You’ll play the front 9 twice but it’s in great condition. No driving anymore since they sold the land to build homes. Driving matts into net. Clubhouse is brand new and offers great amenities. Beverage cart available which is great on hot days.
Can’t wait for the next 12 holes
The first 6 holes were great and the greens were wonderful. Then the skies opened up and that was the day!
Fun course, can't wait until they finish the renovation
We had to play the same 9 twice, but even then, the course was in great shape, very fun and playable with lots of options on each hole.
Looking forward to when they finish all the renovations to the other two 9's.
Friendly staff, very nice clubhouse, great Bloody Mary, and giant hot dogs.
First time playing Woodmont
This course is very nice, greens are great, staff is friendly, even while they are going through the renovations. I and my friends had a great time. Weather was nice too. Can’t wait to do it again!
On its way to become an amazing course
Great front nine. On its way to become an excellent course. Greens roll true and fast. The Pines will be back soon according to the friendly greens keepers. Back Cypress has a complete renovation process and will be ready sometime October of this year. Overall good experience. Just bring or buy the adult beverage of choice.
Only 9 holes are open right now
For GolfNow users and for the general public, it needs to be noted that only nine holes are open at this time. This is not posted on GolfNow and the golf Shop staff did not mention this.
Mr. Cruz,
We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at Woodmont Country Club. We always strive to create the best experience possible for our customers. Please however let me address a few of the things you mentioned:
1)There are no additional charges for carts when playing with us. All carts are included for players who have tee times. You were not charged for a cart when you came out and played. You payed your greens fees upon arrival as your tee time was in fact not prepaid online. The credit card you gave was just to hold the reservation.
2)We do our best to inform our guests of our current course set up. Unfortunately we do only have 9 holes currently. The back 9 will be reopened early october. While we do apologize that you weren't aware of this when you booked, you were informed before you teed off and we would have been happy to have given you a raincheck for the back 9 if you didn't want to play the same 9 twice. As well you were given a discounted rate to make up for this.
We hope that you will come back in the future to enjoy our golf course once our renovations are complete.
