Westridge Golf Club
About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,450 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

Fix the Tee Boxes
The tee boxes were in bad shape. This should be a main concern of any course. The rest of the course was in pretty good shape.
A great course with loads of changing evaluations.
Very efficient starter. Carts labeled with times and keys given to you when your turn to go. The course was in great condition. Challenging holes and greens sloped and some tiered. Greens putting surface very good. Pace of play very good. Would love to play again if back in LA. . Great value for money.
Very slow!
Enjoyed the course but took over 6 hours to complete the round due to very slow pace of play. Be prepared to spend your entire day with this round!
Westridge Golf Round
I've always liked Westridge. Great course. However, pace of play was incredibly slow and would be nice to have cart service on the course.
Management
⸻
I had a 1:08 PM tee time on Sunday at Westridge. The group ahead of us had 3 carts, 4 golf bags, but there were actually 6 people. Starting from the 3rd hole, it looked like 5 people were playing. I called the office, and they said they would send a marshal. After the marshal came, it seemed like only 4 were playing again, but once the marshal left, the group went back to playing with 5 or 6 people. This caused significant delays. Better supervision and more careful management are definitely needed.
