Westridge Golf Club

About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,600 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

pace of play needs to pick up
used to be an amazing course all around .. now just seems like a money pit to get as many groups out in unreasonable time .. please fix this . as I have been a regular for years ..
pace of play needs to improve
this is to be the best golf course around in all aspects .. seems to be just a money pit now .. with less care to the course and more people stacked on each hole … they layout has always been amazing . wish it would return with pride .. and keep it beautiful and enjoyable
Golf course
Westridge golf course could be better, given the cost of play.
Played early Sunday morning 0640 and paid $50/ per person to play the back 9. Played with my son and his uncle.
They don't offer junior rates nor they don't participate in SCGA Jr.
During our play, the grounds keepers were trimming the greens, planting seeds and working on the sand bunkers. Right in the middle of our play.
We had to wait until they moved onto the next hole before teeing off. The noise was distracting and having to wait for them was a nuisance.
I spoke to someone there who simply apologized and offered nothing else. A replay would've been sufficient, considering the inconvenience continued on for 5 holes.
Under maintenance
Many holes are under the maintenance. Gold xart path only. Grens are in ok shape. Fairways are also ok.
Not as good as it used to be
I've played here several times over last 15 years. But it had been a couple years since I've played here. Was disappointed in the up keep and pace of play with the new management. Before we got our golf cart we were told to try to play fast because they had filled all 300 slots on the day. After the round we were disapointed to find they had changed the clunhouse restaurant to a Korean BBQ restaurant. Several meals priced over $100 to $ 200 a group. We just wanted a drink and sandwhich.
Decent
Was excited to play this course as had a great time. Unfortunately not the case. They were tending to the putting greens as we were putting with loud mowers. Had to wait to hit as they were tending to the putting greens. We then were told to pick up the pace because the people behind us was catching up....they were 3 holes behind us. Great course but golf etiquette was terrible by the staff.
Great views and great times
Everything was great, just every hole we had workers either cutting grass or changing the hole. I wouldn’t mind it but it felt like they were just following us and either had to wait for them and we had to make sure we wouldn’t hit them. Overall great course I will come back maybe just different tee time. We did the back nine 6:24am.
