Lots of mounds and traps
Vista course has a ton of mounds and bunkers. Tight fairways with traps everywhere
Great Value for Area
I love the layouts. Played Dunes to Vista. The course is in dormant time. The greens are mostly dormant Bermuda. They are quick and roll fairly true. Firm plenty of grass on putting surface. Fairways were fair, some tight lies. Lots of sand in bunkers, too much in fairway bunkers and rarely raked by players. Best bang for the buck in the Gulf Shores area in March. Will play again soon.
Always have fun at this place. Greens in great shape. Fairways a little thin and hard but its expected for this time of year.
great layout
Good value for the money. Some very challenging holes, with a wide variety of holes.
Good value
We picked up a hot deal from golf now. The course was challenging and a great value.
nice greens
the more I play this course, the more I like it. Very interesting and challenging course design that doesn't beat you up and keeps you "on your toes"! greens don't look the best but are a nice speed and roll true!
Uncle Mike
Great course at a reasonable price, friendly staff
Just need someone to help keep the slow groups moving along.
Fun course
We had a good time playing here. The condition of greens were excellent . We will probably play here again.
Glad I didn't pay full price to play
Played in February so course conditions were pretty questionable. I would not pay full price to play this course. It was average at best.
Fun course, good conditions.
I’m a visitor to the Gulf Shores. I played the Dunes and the Vista nines. They were in winter condition. The fairways played well. The rough was not difficult to play from. There were lots of fairway bunkers, and traps around the greens, but good sand and very playable. The greens were fast and true, not too hilly. It was a nice mix of holes. I enjoyed my round. We played in less than four hours, which was kinda wonderful! I’m looking forward to playing here again soon.
Great value
The course was in great shape over all. Good value for cost. Only complaint would be there was no water in any of the ball washers on the course.
Nice layout
Although it’s fun to play, management of cart availability is a problem when players with later tee time have all the carts. The staff needs to get a better handle on who gets carts and in what order.!!
Can’t wait until spring
Unlike most courses, everything was brown. Greens fairways tees-nothing was green yet. Most courses by now have green greens and tees. Some have slightly green fairways. Overall the course plays well. But Ranger would be more helpful because we followed twosomes and a single that played at the rate of a 12 - some. Other than that we were just able to finish before dark when teeing off at 1:30 PM
