The 18-hole Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Designed by Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, Falcon's Fire Golf Club measures 7006 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 73.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are tifdwarf bermuda and the fairways are bermuda grass.
Falcon's Fire, a Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead signature masterpiece, is typically wide open, however, shot accuracy is essential. Fairways and greens are well bunkered, and water hazards are a common occurrence.

Great place to Play
My brother was in from Arkansas and wanted to play a challenging but affordable course so I recommend that we give Falco Fire a try and I am glad that we did, had really good round. The staff is very attentive. We only saw one small gattor

The course can be challenging but fair, except the 18th which is over 410 from the whites and into the wind! For a senior citizen that’s a little long😂

More good than bad
First of all... most of the greens are not plugged, and in great shape. The 6 or so, plugged greens are nearly healed. For the most part, the areas in play are in good shape.
The areas not in play are pretty much dirt. Bunkers are raked and have plenty of sand but the faces and areas around them are falling apart.
Hit it where you're supposed to and it plays great.

Good course.- recently aerated the greens. Unfortunately, we got rained out half way thru…got a 9 hole rain check.

Raincheck ripoff
Super rip off with a lightning thunderstorm. I got through 6 holes and they only ended up crediting me with a 9 hole credit of $17.50 to future round. I paid $36 and did not even get half my money back. In the end the prices will be higher due to aeration. I would be getting about 15% off a round for being rained out.

Fun round even though aersted
The greens just were aerated but not to bad. Pace of play was just over 4 hours but we started at 7:30am. Sand traps and fairways in good shape.

Great open course
Lots of challenging holes but really playable for high handicapped!!! Only 1 bad tee box and green but overall the course played as designed and I'll definitely be back.

Bad Shape - Slow Play
Course overall is in bad shape, sprinklers on some holes were just running water into ditches, the fairways were dead in a lot of spots, the greens have weeds all in them and on top of all of that after playing the front 9 in 2hrs, had to wait 25mins on the 10th tee to tee off and with it being by right next to clubhouse I would’ve thought someone would come out and see four groups on the 10th tee and acknowledge what was going on but multiple people that work there just looked over like this was normal. It’ll be a looong time before I try to play here again, if ever.

Rough Shape
The greens were in decent shape but fairways and areas around the greens were pretty bad. Expected more from this place.

Great layout - poor course maintenance
First time playing Falcon Fire and was looking forward to the experience.
Unfortunately I found the course to be sub standard in terms of maintenance and looked like the green keeping staff had been on vacation for 4 weeks.Tees and fairways in poor condition.Greens were reasonable but very slow..Again maintenance related. Off course was a bit sad and felt slight abandoned.The last in the bar area and the gent in the pro shop were friendly. With the number of excellent courses in the area will not be rushing back.

Great golf outing near Orlando.
My friend and I enjoyed playing this course on a business outing near Orlando. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course is great for players of all levels.
Poor condition for the price
Played this course three decades ago when it first opened, loved the layout. Stopped playing it when the course conditions went to crap. People have been telling me it was greatly improved so I gave it a try When the conditions match a $35 muni but they charge double, triple or more forget it. Well, friends have told me recently that the conditions had greatly improved, so I tried it again (late April 2024). NOPE. Grass cut way too low, hardpan bare lies and brown grass everywhere including fairways and around the greens. The many bunkers around the course have no defined edges, sand all around them, washed out areas, etc. I must have filled 200 divots during my round (kept refilling the bucket from sand traps) and could have filled hundreds more but the pace of play was actually good. They blame the lack of rain for the issues… NOPE AGAIN. The holes on the road into the course and near the clubhouse are BEAUTIFUL and GREEN !!!!! So they obviously water those a LOT. The rest of the course is hard, brown and firm with fairways cut way too low. Ever try hitting a 3 wood from hard ground with grass cut to 1/2 inch? Good luck. It’s not the weather, I live nearby and other local courses are lush, green and beautiful (Southern Dunes, Harmony, etc). If you want a nice layout and grab a cheaper afternoon tee time then go for it, otherwise forget it.
