Scenic Hills Country Club

About
Unlike many other courses in the state, Scenic Hills Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills. In addition to the dramatic elevation changes throughout the course, the holes are sharply framed by towering pines that line the fairways. The holes play to generous putting surfaces that provide a variety of hole placements, but its best to play to the middle of the greens since there are strategically placed bunkers guarding all of the greens. Water hazards also come into play on six holes, but they require only minimal forced carries. Scenic Hills C.C. opens with what is arguably its most challenging holes. The par-4 hole plays downhill to a green that is not only protected on both the left and right with bunkers, but there is also a steep-faced bunker that is not visible from the fairway.

Ok course if you don't care about condition
Greens are in bad condition. Only 2 par 5's...one of which should be a long par 4. Easy to lose se a ball in the fringe.
Goat Ranch
Paid almost $50 to play on a $25 course. Greens were terrible, many bunkers filled with grass about a foot tall, sand in some of them was mostly mud. Over 4 hrs to play 18 by myself. Seriously thought about leaving after the front 9 . Save your money ! I won’t be back
Good course when in good condition.
When the course is in good condition it’s likely a fantastic course. The layout of the course is a good challenge. When we played the greens were on poor condition.
Mr. GIR
I enjoyed my round because I was teamed up with two great guys. It was a good deal on GolfNow but I would be hard pressed to pay regular price due to the poor conditions of the greens and fairways. The clubhouse, people and pro shop were all very nice. This place just needs to be maintained with some TLC. It may be a while before I return.
Getting better
Good to see they're on their way back at Scenic Hills! Recent rains have helped everyone, including them.
$20 would be a fair-ish price
No one really at the course that day. Conditions of the course are pretty poor, worse than I anticipated. Greens were pretty bad as well. There weren't any really good amenities, so for $30 I definitely felt like I got jipped. If they drop the price, it's definitely a good place to play, but at the current price it's not worth it
Great value for price
Great course for the price point. Greens were a little slow but in great condition. Would recommend to a friend and will go back one day for sure. Staff, minus one guy in pro shop, were super friendly and nice.
Good layout
I’ve played Scenic Hill a few times over the years. The greens were in decent shape some could say good. They were slow. The fairways have not come out yet. I expect it to be in good shape in 4-6 weeks. You get your money’s worth but if you are looking for a top notch course it’s not there yet.
Nice Course
Course is a great challenge with greens is great shape. A lot of rework going on and the back nine is where most is taking place.
Fairways and tee boxes need A-LOT of work and AERATION!
Hopefully they continue to work on it.
Surprized.
ItSurprised. Has been a year since playing here last. I was surprised to discover the par 5 hole #11 had been decided up into a par 4 and par 3. Greens were in great shape but the tee boxes were a little rough. I'm looking forward to playing it again after i scored 80.
Great Mid Week Outing
This was the first time that I played the course since the redesign and I must say that it was a very pleasant experience. The greens are in great shape and the overall course condition was as good as I have seen it in recent years. Bravo to the staff and keep up the good work. Must better value than Marcus Point.
Don’t Bother Playing This Course
1st time playing in a few years and really disappointed. Very hard pan fairways with a lot of bare areas. We missed a new hole they put in because we didn’t see it and there was no signage. Tee boxes were horrible with very little grass . One green a a round hole about 3 feet in diameter and a foot deep still covered with grass. Like a sinkhole. $35 golf now rate a rip-off. Won’t be back!
