Great value and fun test of golf
We played 3 rounds , all on the Lakes - loved every minute but watch out for the nosey gators!
Fantastic public course
I live Near Patrick Space Force Base and play quite a few public courses in my area, north to Daytona Beach, west to Lakeland and south to Vero Beach. Sandridge has 36 holes and without a doubt is the BEST CONDITION of any public course I play! The layout of both courses is great and the greens are consistent/roll true.throughout. The pace was a little slow but not bad - well worth it for the condition of the courses. I highly recommend either/both courses - easily worth a 30-45 minute drive to get there.
Great experience
Great layout with plenty of water and traps around generous fairways. Tees, fairways and greens were in nice condition. Greens were fast and true. Very friendly staff everywhere but no cart girl.
Course condition
Overall course was in excellent condition for this time of year and amount of play. Maintenance personnel are to be commended. Greens were especially in exemplary condition
Lakes, like, and love golf
I had played the Dunes a couple of times, never thought I would like the shorter Lakes course. Boy was I wrong! It's excellent and plays longer than the 6200+ yards from the back tees. Especially with a 25 mph east wind. Narrow, hazards but very fair and very playable. I enjoyed it so much I think I might cancel my round else where and booked the Lakes again. Loved the 14th hole with the island green. The 3 guys I was with thought It's the hardest hole in all of Florida, not sure about that but I stayed right side of fairway with my drive, put the approach 9 feet left of the pin and made the birdie putt. You have to embrace a challenge and this course was but o' so much fun. Just hit the shots you need to hit off the tee and you can have a tremendously good time.
