Nashboro Golf Club
About
Nashboro Golf Club sits just outside of Nashville's city center, and offers good times and good tests.
Nashboro Golf Club is home to a classically designed par-72 championship golf course that measures 6,887 yards; manicured Bermuda fairways give way to premium bentgrass greens. Grass aficionados will also be happy to know that the fairways and roughs both get plenty of rye grass seeds during the winter, allowing for ideal playing conditions year-round. All levels of golfer can get into the course's beauty - the fairways are lined with both mature trees and great vistas - and the strategically-placed water hazards and bunkers will also challenge seasoned golfers and novice golfers alike.
After - or before or both - a round of golf at Nashboro Golf Club, grab a round in the clubhouse's full-service bar and grill, which offers a casual vibe.

Course is in nice shape for this time of year. Greens are quick and rolling smooth but firm and hard to hold shots.
Trashboro
Course was in very bad condition. 80% of the bunkers were flooded. Poor drainage overall. Understaffed.
Greens rolled great. Unfortunately, course is lacking professional management and maintenance.
Not Worth It
Wanted to try out a new course before the end of the season and gave it a shot. Course was not crowded, but upon arriving the staff was unfriendly and not at all welcoming. The course conditions left a lot to be desired. Construction was going on in the middle of a number of holes. The layout makes you cross roads in and out of the surrounding neighborhood frequently. A disc golf course also runs through the golf course which is a little unusual. The greens rolled fast, but not much to write home about outside of that. Do not anticipate returning.
Course in Great Shape
I always liked this course, bit now its looking stellar! Will be back asap
Price
I've played a lot of courses within a 15 mile radius and my opinion along with the opinion of the golfers that were with me don't think $39.00 for during the week was worth the price. We could see maybe on the weekend and around $30.00 on weekdays. Greens were ok, fairways a little rough. Tee boxes ok, the roughs are "loose your ball roughs" and sand pits that are on the course would be a lot better than cat litter boxes and hard sand gavel pits.
Better than the rumors I've heard
I have not played Nashboro in several years.
I recent years I have stayed away because of rumors it was in bad shape. While it was not as well kept as I remember from 10 years ago I found it to still be a very good course. The greens are still some of the best and fastest greens in town.
I am not sure I would pay full price to play Nashboro based partly on location convenience and partly on it's slightly diminished fairway and rough quality, but I was a very good bargain to play it for a GolfNow fee of $25+$5 in fees for a total of $30.
I will definitely play it again when I see a GolfNow deal now that I know it is still in pretty good shape.
Love the course
Love the course. The greens were in great shape as well as the fairways.
Stay AWAY, Horrible
Course in terrible condition! I mean absolutely terrible. I have NEVER written a bad review and this course got me that upset.
It all started when I walked up first thing in the morning out of my truck drinking a bottle of water at 8 am and was told to go put it back. "One" 3/4 empty bottle of water.
I have never seen greens so bad. tee boxes are a joke. The sand is full of rocks, water smells like a sewage plant, carts parks go right into section 8 construction site(not joking) we had to back up bc there was no way through. Yardage markets are nowhere to be found. The list goes on and on.
Writing this review is bringing back bad memories.
Just DONT GO!
Course was adequate
Played in the early morning. Pace was fine, course was in pretty good shape except for the greens. Greens were in reasonable shaped but many of them had runs of damage on them. The course is not overly difficult so it was a good experience for me.
Decent conditions
First time playing nashboro. Fairways were in great shape, greens in awful shape. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Course needs some work!
Good rate for 2 senior walk ups. But after play the course, rate was not worth it. Layout is pretty good. Fairways were OK. Green were the issue. First 3 or 4 greens were in pretty good shape, but they got worse as the round went on. Some greens had marks on them. Looked like a mower had an oil leak. Some greens looked like they sprayed a green substance on them to cover up a green that had lost grass due to dryness. Had some excellent holes. But after seeing the conditions, I would have gone somewhere else. Pro, Willie, was extremely nice and deserves a raise since he in the only person on staff to take care of carts, ranger, take money in pro shop. But I guess that is the way some golf courses are these days to save money.
Won't be back this year
Good layout but the greens are messed up. Looks like someone tried to destroy them by pouring something on them. Greens definitely not up to par. Will wait to get confirmation they've been fixed before I play this course again.
Terrible shape
Wasn't worh the time, let alone the money. Awful condition.
Nothing to bring us back again
Course was in okay shape for spring golf. The course did not have anything great that would bring us back here again.
What a joke!!
This place is in terrible condition!!! Where do I start!? I guess I should say my handicap is 9. So I'm a golf enthusiast and golf A LOT of courses. With this course... FIRST, the driving range is small and terrible!!! No grass or anything. SECONDLY, the tee boxes are absolute garbage. Half of them have very little grass on them and hitting off dirt. THIRD, the greens needed to be rolled because the green were rolling extremely slow and jumpy. MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! The pictures on their website are real but completely not how the course is payed out. The best holes were 1, 10, 13 and 14. The rest of the holes either have a lot of street traffic or just ugly run down apartments along the holes. Maybe a couple of SENIC holes. And then they don't let you bring ANY out side beverages. I wanted to bring my Fiji water... Set it in the cart and they were like oh no no no you can't bring any outside beverages what so ever. I'm like its water. Not beer. And they were like no. NEVER PLAYING here again.
way too high for the condition
first of all I have played here in tournaments, and there is a reason I stopped. over the last several years this course has went downhill and took there prices up. my father-in-law came into town and wanted to play. he picked this course so I just let it go. first of all there was a back up on 1 tee box, we were the third group waiting. took 5.5hrs to play 18. range and range ball were the worst. fairways were as hard as concrete, could not get under the ball hardly. I cant believe this course has gotten this bad. so I felt others should know this
Waste of $$, in bad shape
This course is in awful shape; probably the worst shape of any Nashville courses. If you're going to pay $35+ to play this course, save your money and go play Gaylord at twilight. What a joke!!!!
Tight and Patchy Fairways
Overall, the golf course was nice. Sadly, the fairways were still recovering for the winter and were extremely patchy. There were several areas that ought to have been marked as ground under repair but were not.
Nevertheless, in general, the greens were in great shape. They provided enough of a challenge for those who were able to make GIR often.
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
The guys have been working extremely hard to get the course in good shape.
Read the reviews. Almost all said greens were not good. This one review states they are excellent. What gives?
