Nashboro Golf Club
About
Nashboro Golf Club sits just outside of Nashville's city center, and offers good times and good tests.
Nashboro Golf Club is home to a classically designed par-72 championship golf course that measures 6,887 yards; manicured Bermuda fairways give way to premium bentgrass greens. Grass aficionados will also be happy to know that the fairways and roughs both get plenty of rye grass seeds during the winter, allowing for ideal playing conditions year-round. All levels of golfer can get into the course's beauty - the fairways are lined with both mature trees and great vistas - and the strategically-placed water hazards and bunkers will also challenge seasoned golfers and novice golfers alike.
After - or before or both - a round of golf at Nashboro Golf Club, grab a round in the clubhouse's full-service bar and grill, which offers a casual vibe.

A course I love to hate.
This is a course I love to hate. I love the layout. It's very scenic. There are easy holes and difficult ones. It's a shotmaker's course if you love trying different shots. I never play all that well here, though, hence my title. The harsh winter damaged the green, but the staff did a good job reviving what they could. I'll play it if I can book it through GolfNow. It's about $50 on the weekend, and I think that's a little too high. I think it should be in the $40 - $42 range for the weekend. Good course, though.
to much money
I absolutely love this course. But I will say what we all think, this is the moist over priced course in Nashville. I know to ownership is trying to make up lost money, but come on the rates are just silly, and that's why it is always so empty. If they brought the rates down more people could play this hidden gem
Course in pretty rough shape
It would've been nice to know that they were sending the greens prior to booking the tee time. It just seems like the course itself are getting worse and not being manicured the way it could be and how it was several years ago
nashboro
Good course for the price on golfnow. Some of the greens and fairways need work. Need to show course a little love.
Not good value for money
Course was in poor condition. Very little grass on both fairways and greens. Both were extremely hard and needed a lot of water. Tee boxes overground and tee markers placed on slopes and holes. Lot of trash and degree scattered around the course in numerous areas. Overall very disappointing and can't believe the cost is so high for this course.
Course ok
Disappointed with golfnow and course. Would have been cheaper for our group to pay regular green fees than to use golf now. Same price to twilight less on line fees. Would have cost less for 2 senior players at senior course rate. Driving range was in poor condition. Fair ways 2 out 5. Greens fast but need to be rolled. Tee boxes need some work.
Room for improvement
I've played this course off and on since the early 80's. Have always like the layout, but have always thought it could be better maintained.
I'm glad it's still open and hope it gets enough play and support to allow for better maintenance and some upgrades to visual components.
Great for this time of year + great deal
I golf a ton. I'm writing this review based on comparison to other courses within the area accessible to the public. The layout here is great. It's a challenge, with greens that can be difficult. For this time of year the course is in pretty good shape (nothing insane, some dead patches but it's spring). Pace of play was amazing during the week, I played alone in about 3 hours. Overall a great experience
Junk and bad staff
Bad greens, bad fairway, bad attitude..confiscated beer didn't return all got mad and irate when i called him on it.called me names and threatened to tase me.dont go here
junk
Greens bad fairway bad, owner would not give name.threatened to tase me and generally was a jerk nfiscated 4 16 oz bid lights, then got mad when he didn't return all .called me names and caused bog scene in parking lot.this place is joke .fo somewhere else please
greens
they have the best greens around , great layout and with the weather changing the course is getting better and better
Fast greens - course dry
i like the layout. A little disappointed with the conditions- most likely from the crazy weather we have had lately. The greens were really dry and hard and fast! Most of the time I felt the urge to roll my ball in the fairway because they were dried out mud and the grass looks "trampled" down. Probably should be cart path only until conditions improve. The driving range is teeny tiny.
Don't pay full price
Really bad practice mats. Most of the course is roped off. Tee boxes are terrible. If you can get a hot deal then go for it, but full price is over $40. This is NOT a nice enough course to charge that much to play.
Best in Nashville Area
For winter conditions the course is still in very good shape. If you are in the fairway you will have a good lie. Greens are a little slower than summer. Pace of play was fast. The open and hilly views are great. For me, this is the best public golf course in the Nashville area, even when you are not playing well, the view is worth being on the course.
Nice layout in town
It's been years since I've played here. The course has a great layout, rolling hills and well designed holes. The greens were firm but not fast; they were also a little bumpy.
We did get behind a five-some but they were being held up by a two-some.
The fairways were nice, they are in the early stages of dormancy but I liked them.
The practice area was matts, so don't expect much.
Goodplay
The course was ok, my group had a fun time, the greens seems to have taken a hit during the past weather and was really fast.
very average course
great for first outing, but better courses to chose from
Getting better
Greens finely coming around. Bare spots on tee boxes and fairways filling in. Looked better than july.
Happy
Course is in decent shape. I love the new greens. They're firm which is a great advantage in that spike and ball marks are not an issue as with softer bent grass greens. Of course a bermuda hybrid won't roll as smooth as a bent grass green but the trade off is worth it as most bent grass greens in the area become pocked and scuffed from play. I also enjoyed seeing the course foxes which are obviously half tame from people feeding them. Nice to see them, but probably not a great situation as they would be better off left alone.
